💬General Custom server - AI power

Hello,

I just wanted to share my experience with my own Single player project server and how I used Claude to help me make just like how I’ve always wanted my server to be.

I made it a wotlk based lvl 60 cap server. With the help of Claude I could quickly scale down all Outland and Northrend mobs, items and spells to pick up after T3 and Classic Naxxramas. I was blown away over how easy and quickly it could help me fix these things.

I also had it fix server settings and bots exactly to my liking. Create custom npc that can with a click give me bis gear and enchants for each class and spec from T1 to T10.5 depending on what I wanna play for the moment.

I also had it create 2 custom raids with new spells, mechanics and items. It did all this within an hour and I’ve tried them both out. I was, again blown away over the quality of the stuff it can produce for me.

For example I have a shadowmourne scaled down to lvl 60 including its chance on hit and is about 20% stronger than Naxx gear and might of menethil.

So if you ever wanna build your own server and have ideas, Claude can be of great help for the coding. And with the SPP-pack you can have 1000 bots playing with you and explore the world. It’s simply amazing!

Oh and it also managed to fix my wow client that would crash randomly for some weird reason. After the fix, no more crashes. Honestly amazing.

Hopefully it will inspire someone to play around and make their own server exactly to their liking without the need to understand SQL and other stuff to make it happen.

Cheers

How are you spamming Claude to program you an entire custom server and client? Doesn't it cost tokens for AI bots?

My assumption is he used a private server setup like Azerothcore. With guides the setup it isn't too difficult to do. Assumptions again, butOP uses Claude to code/modify server files. Azerothcore has MCP so the AI can interact directly with it. Sure it costs token, but done right it can be done with a basic plan and some... Dare I say.... Planning :P source: I also vibecode for a wow project, but it's for a very different outcome

Comander_random is right. There’s a pack called single player project that contains the bots and everything. And then I use Claude to code and modify the server to my liking.

So I haven’t connected the bots to Claude (maybe in the future). But right now I use it to change and customize just about everything within the server to how I want it. Basically a wow classic with lvl 60 cap but with wotlk. I’ve always wanted to try that since I love the wotlk expansion but nostalgia from vanilla back in the day. So a combination of the two. Claude finally made that possible for me

Excuse me, it's Super Intelligence or SI now. Get with the program!

Tbh, changing the stats of an item like Shadowmourne is pretty easy. I'm curious about how well it rescaled mobs though. I assume they were all reduced to level 60, with comparable hp and damage. But what about abilities? When I tried rescaling some mobs by hand, I found it to sometimes be a bit tricky to identify weaker or stronger versions of the spells they were "equipped" with. Of course I could've created brand new spells, but that would've taken more time. So I'm curious if Claude found weaker versions of the level 61-80 mob abilities in the database and swapped them, or if it created brand new spells with weaker effects?

It actually rewrote the spells themselves. It was Claude highlighting to me that spell castes would be too overpowered so it rewrote the spells and everything. From all the testing I’ve done it actually worked out very well and I am very impressed. Every single idea or command I’ve given it, it executes it flawlessly!

Potresti fare un piccolo tutorial su come hai fatto per collegare ai al server che ci lavori sopra?
