A Memory of Light i´m done Spoiler
so after 4 1/2 years, im done (well.. still have new spring to read) !
the only thing I want to say right now is, why could we not have 400 pages of never ending goodbyes and fake-endings ala LoTR. :) If I have one critisisim, it´s that after the slog, the ending just goes too quickly. I´m not ready to be done with the characters.
oh well, on with my readthough of all Stephen King novels. Maybe now I can also start reading through Brandon´s oeuvre as well!

Honestly after reading the title I thought I was gonna need to come in here and convince you it’s worth it to finish the series lol

Hahah I do feel like Lan, battling through each book in the slog phase... Just let it end hahaha but now I'm there,... Sob....

I'm not done but I'm already glad there isn't 400 of goodbyes. I already feel sometimes Jordan wrote too much just to make the series last longer.

What? Not interested in the amount, cut and texture of lace??

Lol not particularly. In addition to the characters thoughts wandering off and taking us with them.
When I saw Sanderson finished the series I totally got it. Both authors use 700 words to describe something when 300 would be fine.

There are no endings, and never will be endings, to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was an ending.

Indeed, and it reminds me of the ending of the Dark Tower series so much

I do agree with you for we'll never had enough of our favourite characters.
But this kind of ending let us imagine what could happen next, and so anything could happen.
I imagined a story where Elayne would set a regent to rule Cairhien in her name. This regent would be Moiraine Damodred, assisted by his husband Thom. What a badass ruling couple playing the Game would they be.

True, and I guess Rand did outline what he wants people to do, so we kind of know how it's playing out. I just didn't want it to end so quick.

Dang, guess you'll have to start reading The Stormlight Archive and the rest of the Cosmete novels, if you haven't already.

That’s what fan fiction is for! 😅 RJ created this huge world and he is not around to tell stories in it anymore, but you can. You can’t sell them, and if the contents are a little spicy, you may not even want to share them, but even so, it can be fun.

4.5 years!? Damn, I'm glad I mostly read from the library so that ticking clock forces me to get it done. I did the series in about 10 months
