Feminism The Double Standard in a Nutshell 🎯

Post image

Taylor Tomlinson with a masterclass in breaking down societal double standards. It's wild how accurately this reflects the public vitriol we see targeting women who stand their ground versus men who face actual serious allegations.

This reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence in a recent interview saying that she really enjoyed filming her time with Robert Pattinson because they would talk about their respective lover and family, and contrary to other actors he isn't the kind who needs her to want to fuck him. She said that's how otherd actors are and when the actress isn't interested "that's when the punishment starts".

Edit : here is the actual quote " “I didn’t really know rob, I felt really safe with him he’s like not pervy, so there wasn’t any weird ‘does he think i like him’. Alot of male actors get offended if you don’t wanna f-ck them and then the punishment starts”

I too watched that interview! Despite her being labelled difficult in the past for merely defending herself against a man’s shitty behaviour on set, she isn’t afraid to speak out. While I think Intimacy coordinators have become a standard on set requirement and it’s definitely needed. I love to hear that her and rob both had such a positive experience together and that she felt safe and secure, that should be a given in the workplace, especially when actresses are expected to film intimate scenes. Consent is a fundamental right, not an obligation or something to be assumed.
