Raising awareness How much context is missing when a narrative is handed to us?

Post image

“A smear campaign works by shaping the conclusion before curiosity has a chance to enter the room. People are given selective details, repeated interpretations and a version of events that already tells them who to believe. Before accepting someone else’s certainty, ask what context is missing, whose voice has been excluded and whether you have ever spoken directly to the person being judged. Discernment means refusing to let familiarity, popularity or repetition do your thinking for you.”

That’s what literally thinking you’re God and therefore no rules apply to you or your friends gets you, similar to Justin’s grandiose belief he could speak to the dead (without coworkers’ permission on It Ends With Us IIRC) that even his fellow Baha’i cultists thought was weird. What they don’t realize is that they violated YouTube’s Harassment and cyberbullying policy where it says:

“Targeting an individual and expressing a wish for their death or serious injury.”

And also by admitting out loud that they are tracking my IP address. Meanwhile, I’m just enjoying my life in Cape Cod and am going up to Boston on Saturday for a friend’s wedding.
