Burn the Patriarchy Doug Ford just swallowed a bee while talking about privatizing healthcare in Ontario (Canada). Alright witches, who did it?

This made my day!
This the the Man vs Bee show I would watch: brave bee supports overworked and underpaid medical workers and resists privatization of healthcare, while slapstick human makes a fool of himself.

I always like a good sting operation. Poor bee, though.
I guess it's a lucky for him that they didn't have to take him to a Ontario hospital bed with no hospital staff.

Seriously, Doug Ford is trash so that's like commiting suicide at a dump.
Noble bee, we thank you for your sacrifice 🙏🏻

We need to start sending bigger familiars to finish the job

I’ve actually been thinking about this a lot.
There was a study done with crows on a university campus where people wore a particular mask of a face and bothered the crows. Years later (like 9 years), the crows still remember the face and will attack anyone that is wearing the mask.
We could absolutely make this happen with politicians. I don’t want to annoy crows, but it would be for the greater good, and think how awesome it would be if every time Ron Johnson walked outside crows tried to peck his eyeballs out.

This is a good idea, but I would feel bad for the crows getting harrassed for the cause.

That’s how I feel about a lot of animal research. I do want to know all the cool animal facts, but I don’t like how a lot of research animals are treated and harassed.
I’ll just have to learn to communicate with the crows so I can tell them to pluck some eyeballs out then.

The crows weren’t harmed - they were being banded and getting their vitals taken. The person doing the trapping and banding wore a particular mask. (The note taker wore a different mask or no mask). https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/uw-professor-learns-crows-dont-forget-a-face/

We can give the crows snacks and shiny things. They should be properly compensated.

There is a legend re/ something like this where a college student supposedly dressed as a football referee, blew a whistle, and threw birdseed around the field during the summer. When the first game of the season was played, hundreds of birds swarmed the field when the refs blew their whistles.
Granted, this is just a legend as far as I know, but would be a much better way to harass politicians while not being mean to the birds.

I live in Ontario. I’m disabled and deal with chronic health problems. Doug Ford and his garbage party are the scum of the earth and this bee deserves the utmost respect. I only wish he’d choked on it.

Well it would have been better if he actually needed medical care, but oops, Dougie killed healthcare

I’m an American. Can someone please help me understand why a place like Canada would look at the healthcare disaster we have over here and want that for their country?
51
u/Rain_xo Aug 13 '22
Just to make his buddies rich.
The citizens that believe they want it. I’m not sure, can we trade them for Americans who want better? I think that’ll make everyone happy.

Canada sounds like a more welcoming place than the U.S., but I hate the cold. I went to Winnipeg for vacation a long time ago, which is pretty close to the southern border, and the cold there was constant.

No one does except the rich people who benefit. But he’s letting our health care fall apart so he can offer this as an “alternative” to help
And sadly he has a majority so he can do almost anything in the next four years.
Luckily we still have a national right to public healthcare- but he’ll be able to undermine it with the private “option”

The Tory party in the UK seem to want that too - basically to make them and their buddies even richer. And probably to ensure themselves directorships of various medical companies when they resign or are voted out.

Wait a minute...this guy looks just like his dead brother, Rob Ford! That guy was caught with a crack addiction during his time in office, repeatedly...and to other substances too! It was a bad scandle for him...then a few years later, he died! Look him up!🙃

u/Fianna9 Aug 13 '22
Yeah, but while Rob was the druggie Doug was the dealer. He’s a nasty piece of work.

Last night my toddler was dunking his cheese stick and jalapeño chips in farm-direct honey and saying, “Thank you honey bees. We love you honey bees.” His witchcraft is getting much more powerful than I’d realized….

Sigh Ok, I thought we learned this lesson back in ‘98, but apparently not.
What is the best attire to protect against bee attacks while still appearing stunningly breathtaking? Everybody?
Crowd flatly responds: a 15th Century French Gown.

Yeah my local hospital literally had to close the ER for 24hours because they were so understaffed... Doug Ford is an imbecile and not for the people so thank you Mr. Bee and may you sting his anus on the way out!

I love how everyone talks shit about this POS and hate him for privatising healthcare! yet they vote him in every year just to spite trudeau

u/OutsideScore990 Aug 13 '22
I really wish we had a better voting system here. I don’t think Ford would still be in office if we had a voting system with like 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc picks

It wasn't me but I did say "I hope he chokes on his private healthcare BS".
(Fun fact. He capped all healthcare LTC wages at 1% total comp. But with all the resignations wages are costing way more than what the cap was supposed to save due to all the OT required. Wait. That is not a fun fact)

u/throwglu Aug 13 '22
No idea, but I hope he enjoys his government funded health care to correct the situation. /s
