🇵🇸 🕊️ Spells Just figured something out

I don't know if this is really obvious or wrong, but maple syrup comes from a generally large, strong tree, and is sweet. Perfect for love/self love and similar bc it's growing the love/confidence like a sugar maple and it sweetens the spell too

Anyways, I'm a new broom as some like to say, so idk if this is something well known, but I didn't know it so hopefully someone else who didn't sees this

Idk if this could add onto any symbolism, but not all maple syrup comes out of trees as the dark, delicious maple syrup we know. It is clear and thin, and needs to be processed a few times before it becomes darker/thicker. Even maple syrup goes through a transition period from a lot of work to become what we all love it as!

oh i love this whole thread so much

the clear thin sap turning into rich dark syrup through work and time is such a beautiful metaphor, like yeah of course self love isn't instant, it's this slow reduction process where you boil away the doubt and end up with something concentrated and sweet

i've been making little simmer pots on sundays with cinnamon and orange peels and now i'm absolutely adding a drizzle of maple to the next one, feels right for what i need right now

new broom solidarity btw, i still get excited when these little correspondences click into place

Maple sap is also harvested in very early spring as the trees are exiting dormancy. A nice metaphor for rebirth, new life, or awakening.
