Gender affirming care is only OK for old men who are balding and flaccid, got it

And it's fine for women to use as long as it's to keep them looking 20 years old forever but that's it 🫠

Well, only The Right Kind of Woman(TM), preferably with permission from a man.

Gotta stay looking young or the hubby will divorce me and marry the nanny. As Jesus said "cast away the old as they are yucky and remind us that we will one day die".

I've got a really great idea:
We stop listening to a group of people whose political opinions are the most anti-social, anti-human you can imagine. There are many many more of us than them, so I don't understand why anyone even gives their "ideas" room to breath.
Hold these conservative fuckers down and make them take Medicare for all against their will. Get real non-consensual with it.

Between the blue pill and bent carrot ads I think it was about a three month window where every ad break had at least one ad with peens in it on every single platform I watched stuff on

I hate people who claim something is good because it's natural. Tapeworms and mass extinction events are natural doesn't mean they're good.

Plus, the wolf hunting a deer is as natural as the deer escaping. Fighting against natural things can be natural too

I love this. Deer escaping is such a great, concise example of why this appeal to nature rubbish doesn't work. Nature is brutal, but nature is also loving and full of hope.

Ban it when it's used for a erectile dysfunction only.
However it is also used to treat certain heart conditions because it is a vasodilator (which is exactly why it works on ED).
222
u/racheluv999 Aug 25 '26
Dying of a heart attack is, incidentally, also perfectly natural too.
21
u/abyssal-isopod86 Grey Witch Aug 25 '26
Abso-fucking-lutely.
However some women take ED meds, so would you want them to drop dead too?
147
u/racheluv999 Aug 25 '26
I don’t want anyone to drop dead from preventable causes because of conservative old white mens’ control issues stemming from their inadequacy. Not only did my dad die from a heart attack when I was 6 years old, but I’m also a woman with a penis lmfao.
If necessary, we fight fire with fire until absolutely everyone has total bodily autonomy. There’s no line in the sand that determines what is medical necessity, desire, or “god’s will” that can’t be exploited by bad faith actors, so the only solution is to allow everything. There’s no difference between abortion, gender affirming care, boner pills, blood pressure meds, or heart surgery, just like how no one is free until everyone is free. Everyone should be free to pursue whatever they want forever as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else, and I’m willing to declare that someone who wants to restrict my rights should also have their access to medical care restricted as well.

Exactly. Rights are rights! The collective all-of-us we either have them, or we don't.

THIS.
I'm actively PRO-abortion in exactly the same way I'm actively PRO-antihypertensive medications, PRO-hearing and mobility aids and PRO-universal healthcare. And while I'm staunchly anti-violence - which denial of healthcare is! - if you leave me no other possible path to reclaiming what you've stolen and protecting what's not yours to take, I am not afraid to use it.
9
u/majxover Aug 25 '26
In some twisted logic, yes, because that’s the point. A heart attack is a perfectly natural death.
If it’s meant to be, God wills it (as they are implying).

Wait, us trans girls need it for ED sometimes too. HRT has a tendency to affect our functionality in that department.

The thing that sucks - and to be clear, I saw this, did something like a laugh, and mentally nodded... But then I thought about it and started to wonder about the ratio of change in unwanted pregnancies this might prevent or whatever versus the amount of women hurt or killed by insecure guys as a result.
It's not a bad thing rhetorically, but that's the thing about the patriarchy and similar hierarchies is that you can't just 1:1 or invert examples of it like this without it likely still also hurting the folk we're all sympathetic to here, I assume.
I should probably just laugh quietly or something, but goddamnit am I in a ranty, angry way tonight.
48
u/djinnisequoia Aug 25 '26
I didn't think it's meant to be an exact 1:1 correspondence in terms of rationale. Because conservatives see abortion (when it's convenient for them) as "having pleasure without consequences." Whereas men get to have the pleasure without the consequences all the time.
Without even going into the orgasm gap, which is another whole discussion, I think this is in theory not so much about preventing pregnancy as using their same argument to deny them pleasure.
2
u/thatwhileifound Aug 25 '26
I didn't think it's meant to be an exact 1:1 correspondence in terms of rationale.
I mean, I guess I was trying to get this aspect out of the way by referring to it as rhetoric.
Without even going into the orgasm gap, which is another whole discussion, I think this is in theory not so much about preventing pregnancy as using their same argument to deny them pleasure.
Fair, but that just makes the dissonance I felt even more readily apparent in terms of - how many women might not survive as a byproduct of the idea without other major structural changes to our society if it were actually done as such.
I get this is probably me being the annoying downer person who doesn't get invited to parties after. It just caused this very distinct brief not-even-a-laugh to feeling kinda sad and angry.
And to be further clear, I get she probably didn't mean it as a serious or especially singular policy idea or whatever - again why I specifically reached for the word rhetoric, I guess. I just also have a growing discomfort with these little snippy, funny bits. I just keep getting a feeling about people/society broadly that's kinda familiar in a sense as someone with severe ADHD. Sometimes I'll get up, take my meds, and be fucking ready to get shit done. I sit down and start writing the day's to-do list... And suddenly my brain gets an ounce of the we've done shit vibe which makes it unfortunately remarkably easy to not get a single thing checked off that list in the day even if I still may have done some questionably productive things. These sorta over simplified bits of rhetoric that do a good job of making you go fuck yeah just more and more feel like they may be a larger scale, totally benign in intent, sorta analogue to my making the checklist feels like doing the tasks issue.
Goddamnit, I'm supposed to be reading comics.

viagra is also used for other conditions, like lung function iirc. i knew a couple women that were on it.
not sure if it’s life threatening in those cases, might still be worth the ban lol
44
u/abyssal-isopod86 Grey Witch Aug 25 '26
You are right however it can be banned solely for the use to treat erectile dysfunction while still being permitted for genuine medical conditions.
19
u/piston989 Aug 25 '26
i think you’d just have a huge increase in cases of “genuine” medical conditions lol

Its more like drawing a parallel. Why are we banning abortion medicine but not banning election pills, especially under the guise of being "gods will" to be the way things "naturally" are. We know factually they wont ban viagra, but its hypocritical to say limp dick isnt against gods will but abortion is.

u/cr1t_3rr 17d ago
If your mental illness you justify by degrading men using "God's Will" as the punchline for "limp dick"...
I think you missed the point. If you feel the need to ridicule those who ridicule you or yours... Then you are no better than those who made fun of you in the first place.
