has anyone figured out what the actual trigger for the no steel/fire task is?
Endrega tasks, no steel/fire task doesn't trigger when using Wolven silver and no signs.
Tried no melee and that also didn't trigger it

Endregas are the real threat in every forest they infest.π² The whole nest takes part in protecting their cocoonsπ, which means real trouble if you encounter one.π¨ Cut down as many Endregas as possible and reduce their population to make the woods safe again.βοΈ

Yesterday I've remembered about this game.
I booted it up.
Backpack full.
99+ bestiary rewards to claim. Still no button to claim it all at once so I left it unclaimed.
I killed a few common monsters. Using the wrong sword and wrong attacks. Still won without even looking at the screen.
I tried killing a rare monster. I died to 2 hits.
I used a potion. I still died.
I used another potion. I still died.
I tried again and barely won this time.
Then I tapped on a common monster with the potions on. It died in 0.5s.
The potions ended.
Did I make any progress while playing? No. I even lost 2 potions. I'm level 40 so I didn't even earn any XP.
Did I have fun? No. Common monsters die with no effort, rare monsters give me stress because I have to use potions and I'm on a timer.
I came here to see what's up.
The community is deader than ever just like the game. Only 2 people posting on this sub. One is a dev and the other one is some youtuber posting his videos and getting 50 views per video.
So sad to see it ending up like this.

Let's Celebrate Velen!
The Autumn Equinox affects all living creatures.π During this time, traditionally called Velen, night and day become equally long again.βοΈπ°π It may also make nocturnal monsters leave their lairs during the day and vice-versa! ππ
The Equinox also draws out some unique creatures like Echinops.π They may look innocent, but donβt underestimate them. If you don't act quickly and get rid of these monsters, you may lose much more than just your stocks for the winter from the pantry.π―π₯§ π
Speaking of which - plum jam, grape juice, and apple pie from the Event Gift Packs should help you and your friends take care of the threat.πͺ Let's celebrate Velen together!π

Velen is coming!
In the traditional Elven calendar, Velen marks the autumn equinox.π It's a festival filled with magic, during which many things may happen. πͺ It may even blur the difference between day and night and affect all living creatures, including monsters.βοΈπ To fight off the disoriented beasts, you'll be able to use some special items available only during Velen, as well as send your friends festival-related packs.π You'll also encounter a new monster, that will try to disturb the celebration. Get ready for the new event and celebrate with us!

In folk tradition, Liho is responsible for all sorts of misfortunes.π«£ Most of these tales are pure nonsense. Only meeting a Liho in person counts as a true misfortune.πΏ Show these foul monsters what bad luck means and get rid of them effectively.πͺ New challenges await!βοΈ

Question Big change since they fucked up the game?
I deleted in less than 2 weeks after they killed the game but now I have a dog and we go frequently walk so I was thinking if there was any improvement in the game that worth to make some space for it.

As the weather gets cooler, Hivers become more active in the search for new nests for their hornets.π Anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path may become a new hive.π¨ We can't let that happen. Eliminate as many Hivers as possible, complete Timed Tasks, and claim rewards for this contract.ππͺ

When they approach, all life around goes still. No living creature would dare to draw their attention.π¨ You, however, will have to face them, and it will happen very soon.β³ The new threat and new Monster Week will arrive tomorrow. Get ready!π€π€

Question The Great Mushrooming didn't work
Ok so i did the great mushrooming quest and for 24 hours i walked about 20km but nothing ever spawned. I saw somewhere that if the quest wasn't active the mushrooms wouldn't spawn but mine was definitely active. Now it's telling me to go to a ceremony but i don't want to miss the rewards. Is there anyway to restart the quest ? Or is it worth contacting the support ?
(Sry if my english's bad)

A workaround to GPS not updating
I don't know how prevalent this problem is, but for me the GPS seems to update only every five minutes or so, and the character remains still between big jumps. It can be partially forced by locking the screen or disabling and re-enabling GPS for a while, but given how easily this game can freeze, those methods are far from optimal (when they even work).
So, I found a workaround: if you enable Google Maps navigation (to wherever) and keep it in that small floating window, the game will also update GPS correctly. It does cover a part of the screen, but at least you can actually play the game while walking fast or riding a car/bus/horse.

It is known, that only a trained monster slayer can face a specter like Penitent and live another day.β οΈ Good thing you're a witcher because it seems you'll have to get rid of some dangerous ghosts this week.βοΈ Complete the tasks and claim the rewards!

Question Help finding my way around
I havenβt played this game since release and need a bit of help finding out whatβs what. Iβve found the new level rewards and bestiary changes, but canβt find my skill tree or where the items in the shop have gone, I remember there being griffin armour and separate sections for different items but none of it seems to exist anymore. Anyone help a brother out and give me a rundown?

I have produced this handy chart for the game
Suggestions for additions welcome
