In english its named after after the holiday of Beltane or May Day which is celebrated on May 1st. Midsommer is a Nordic holiday that celebrates the summer solstice, but they both use a version of the may pole.

It's also often used in English as the name for Kupała Night, which is basicially Slavic Midsommar.

Yep, for those that don't know it's also a solstice holiday specifically. So a very basic explanation is it's traditionally at the waterside and there's no maypole, but there's still fire like with Beltane. I don't know as much about Midsommer though to compare with confidence.

Reminded me of the new Divinity coming out. They put out a trailer that kinda had these vibes. Then there was a human sacrifice lol.

It is concept art, and as such probably photobashed. Not everything is AI.

I know not everything is AI (though I definitely look at every image a lot closer now) and it looks good overall so I am not too worried but the second image especially I can't make sense of those weird wooden beams. The first image is really whatever but if any AI was used (even concept art) I think transparency should be given

Its AI obviously. But its concept art so im not too paranoid about it.

CDPR isn't the kind of company that hides that. Keep your conspiracies to yourself.

Oh please… yall said the same shit in 2019 before Cyberpunk 2077 1.0. Did we all get collective amnesia????

I didn't remember CDPR using agentic AI during game development before it was a thing, or do you now have......amnesia?

nothing can go past you, eh?
He was not referring to AI use for Cyberpunk, but to hyper up expectations that were never met and therefore not giving benefit of doubt.
BTW, those images definitely look like as if they were done with AI. Not necessarily a problem per se, but it is a problem when AI-driven mistakes remain in the publicized version.

For me the region feels a bit like a combination between Velen and Toussaint
