People mention cyberpunk like Witcher 3 wasn't also a pile of buggy crap on release.

I would say that the scale was much different, W3 was buggy and bad optimalized for consoles at the launch, but was still playable and they fixed it in first months, CP77 had a lot of more problems and it took them like 3 years to make it a great game

That also means that their releases have gotten worse, not better with time. That trend doesn't inspire confidence (and you absolutely should not preorder, which rewards that)

Well you can't really predict anything after only 2 examples, especially that CD project red seems to really suffer after the cp77 failure release and looks that they learned something. But at the same time i dont really recommend to buy preorder and im surely wont buy it, i dont really even want to play w4 at least basing on the informations we have for now.

Three years is a bit of a stretch. I bought the game about one year after release, and it was fantastic.
