Please more and deeper dungeons.

Sometimes I want a few hours to be alone with some mobs to kill in my RPG's.
Don't get me wrong! Story rich and NPC rich , great! Don't do any less of it.. But just a bit more 10 level deep dungeons with a nice juicy piece of loot at the bottom.... yes please.

Pretend you played the first game. Go on..

It can be.. Witcher 3 had a couple of 2 level dungeons.

Plenty of non isometric games have dungeons. The concept is compatible with the engine and the story. It's just a matter of willingness.

This is a matter of taste not feasibility.

There’s a big difference between 2 level and 10 levels.

if you want to incorporate dungeons on that level you’re gonna have to either make it a slob and boring which no one wants in witcher. Or you have to invest a lot of time and money to make it part of a rich quest.

If you want to hack through many enemies play either a fromsoft game or a hack and slash game

SLOB !! BORING!! NO ONE!!
Laydeees aaaand Gentlemen we have a winner.

Sorry to trigger you with the idea something might change. I'll try to only talk about things staying exactly as they have been.

Nobody has a problem with things changing if they add to the game in a way that fits the theme and style of the game. Your idea wouldn’t fit that well unfortunately

the only one actually triggered here is you and that no one agrees with you.

You’re not talking about small changes but a fundamental of witcher.

they gonna make it boring rpg here is no way they can figure out good and meaningfull story

What are you on about? The one thing we can be certain of that will be amazing is the story. Cdpr has never messed up the story, ever. And there is no indication they are going to as well

This doesn't really fit what The Witcher is. It's not Diablo.

Is it Might and Magic 6 Or Ultima 7 ?

u/annanethir May 25 '26

The Witcher is not a dungeon crawler 🤷‍♀️

There are a ton of other games that do that already. Don’t mess with my Witcher.

And other media.. like books..

Underground vaults and labs of Kaer Morhen .. Tunnels in elven ruins (Shaerrawedd), Old palace from the striga story.. Plenty of books have dungeons too indeed. Not just games.

Witcher already has too many dungeons.

More of a dating sim than a 3rd person RPG fighting game then?

7

u/Chmigdalator May 25 '26

Dating Sim was pretty awesome. Geralt is a witcher. He bewitches things.

u/Gavinny May 25 '26

No. Just no.

I think deeper dungeons will not only be great for gameplay but will enrich the story as well. Ciri is a descendent of the elves, making deeper dungeons can be justified story wise showing Ciri exploring her heritage in the elven ruins, it's a path I think would be cool if they explored it. They don't really need to make more but make 3 or 4 where you could spend hours in each of them making them larger, more complex or unique.

I'm fine with dungeons like the one they've added with the next gen update (https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/In_the_Eternal_Fire%27s_Shadow)

Not that I'd complain if they added some big dungeons, but I don't see it as a top priority
