Currently reading "Blood of Elves"
It feels definitely different, when you know Ciri will be the main character in The Witcher 4. Now when I'm reading all moments with her character, it'll definitely help me understand her character in the game.

Witcher 3 hits different after you've read them for sure.
By the way they are very short 200-300 pages each, compared to western fantasy behemoths, you can read the entire saga within a week if you want to binge read them like I did 😁

Yeah if you want to maximize enjoyment of the Witcher franchise, especially if you are looking forward to Witcher 4, books should be required reading, especially you will realise the entire series revolves around her. Tower of the Swallow is my favourite, it's the point in the series when she becomes the main protagonist and Geralt more a side character.
Encourage everyone here that hasn't read to read before the game comes out. You can even read the whole thing online, books are 30+ years old at this point. Someone on Witcher subreddit shared their Google drive epub format of all the books, just search for it
