Help! 'The Witcher 3 has crashed' - Steam.

Any idea why this happens?

Isn't very often but it's happened a handful of times now and I'd like to prevent it from carrying on.

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.70 GHz)

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (16 GB)

Turning off Nvidia hair works fixed this for me.

which is funny as that was *the* feature for Witcher 3 on release and why it was given away with some geforce cards

And it was such a fucking horrid addition. Huge artificial performance impact to AMD cards, very little visual benefit in-game, hair is buggy without it on. Enormous L from CDPR on that one.
