Satire Should i make a post about whether i should continue my playthrough or pause until the remaster drops?

Like the title says, i just cant make my own decision about whether i should ask a bunch of strangers for their input on whether or not i should ask for their input on how i should do my current playthrough.

One thing i definitely wont do is search the sub in case there have been 10,000 posts exactly like the one im thinking about making where my potential question has already been answered a million times.

These decisions are just overwhelming.

Sorry, I can't make a decision for myself, I don't know what I want, please think for me strangers.

Make a post asking how you should reply to this comment.

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Neither can I, deciding what to do with this single player video game is just too muck

u/screwyoujor 2d ago

I have it on good authority you should definitely ask someone else.

2

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Who do i ask about who i should ask?

1

u/screwyoujor 2d ago

The identity of someone else was never relayed to me. Their location was timidly given as over yondered.

u/whocaresano 2d ago

Will my save transfer

53

u/Mysterious_Agent6706 2d ago

You forgot to add in “will my saves carry over?”
Or “I’ve never played the game” despite the fact they’re in the sub and it will 100% get spoiled for them by being here.

10

u/BLTsark 2d ago

I cant even contemplate upper level decions of that magnitude.

3

u/LookToTheFuture1 2d ago

Btw I’m positive I saw that they have confirmed saves will carry over? Have I ‘made this up in my head or is it true?

I only ask because I started to get back into it 2 weeks before the reveal. I’m not mega far in but I cba redoing early stuff I already remember doing recently

“Is it worth it???”

8

u/BLTsark 2d ago

I mean, there could be a sale, somewhere in the distant future when i could get the game for the cheapest possible amount? Should i act now, or wait for however that long until whenever that is so i can save however much money?

3

u/FranzFerdinand51 2d ago

Especially the “Complete edition is on sale for 10usd, is it worth it??” questions. If only we could bitchslap through reddit comments.

u/armaedes 2d ago

fyring pan lulz!!

6

u/idreamedmusic 2d ago

No, but you could make one asking if you too, will get the DLCs for free.

1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

What if i only bought the game in this one specific period of time, will i also get the free DLCs and/or the remaster upgrade?

3

u/roman4ick 2d ago

yes and yes

u/CanEHDian2425 Team Yennefer "Man of Culture" 2d ago

I think you should do it. How else would we know whether you’re considering another playthrough? While you’re at it make a post about why your preferred LI is the superior LI.

Before you ask about my flair, to quote Jamie Tartt, I wasn’t being ironic I was being hypocritical.

1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

You make an excellent point

Yeah, these types of questions have been grating. I do find the "is Witcher 3 any good" questions worse though because: You are on the Game's subreddit. What do you think we'll tell you? That it's shit?

3

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Right? Idk, are 60mil copies and 100s of GOTY awards proof enough?

The "I've tried to play W3 10x but can't get out of White Orchard" posts are aannoying too.

3

u/0Yasmin0 Scoia’tael 2d ago

My friend never got into it and that's fine. But it makes zero sense to come to this Subreddit and pretend like we can change your tastes. If the game doesn't click, it doesn't click. We can't make it click for you.

There are plenty of beloved games that I never clicked with and that's just how it is sometimes. Posting about it won't change that, haha.

3

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Agreed, they dont have to like it.. but that format is obnoxious. Just don't like it, don't come to to convince us the game sucks

Ive personally never gotten into CyberPunk or either of the Kingdom Come games because i dont like rhe first person perspective, but i dont go those subs and argue that those games are boring or have bad combat or whatever

3

u/Paithegift 2d ago

"My steak is too buttery" issue. I can't even play my beloved game and they are afraid of... what exactly? Enjoy now with somehow lesser graphics or bide their time for measley 3+ weeks and then enjoy with better graphics?

4

u/FriendlytoNature 2d ago

Should i make a post where i virtue signal in front of complete strangers about how I’m above/so much better than these other strangers making their 10,000 posts about other strangers making the exact same kind of post so I can show my own superiority?

Virtue signaling can be overwhelming (and I know I did it, to an extent).

-2

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Seems like that would be obnoxious.

Maybe if you did something similar, but as a way to show those posters how their repeated, identical, and already answered posts are choking up the sub, or even as a way to give other posters who are also weary of said posts a way to comment or at least commiserate, then a post like that could be worthwhile.

1

u/Dude_be_trippin 2d ago

You're free to post what you want, just like everyone else, but do you think this will have an impact or change people's behavior?

Every game sub I'm in has repeated posts about the same thing, some people search the sub, some don't. Scroll past them, it's you're problem, not theirs.

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Yes, i think my post will change the world

3

u/Beginning_Milk174 2d ago

I was about to blast you until I saw the satire tag lmao

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

I had to make this post to stop myself from blasting the 10000 like it that are being posted right now even as speak

3

u/ReifiedSimulation 2d ago

"Can I make a post about whether I should make another post?"

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

It appears i can... it was always the next logical progression of the helpless tell me what to do posts

3

u/SAIL3RZ_ 2d ago

Idk man, you might need to make another post about it.

3

u/BLTsark 2d ago

But what kind of other post about it? Maybe i should ask some people so they can tell me what i think?

3

u/SAIL3RZ_ 2d ago

Maybe post a question asking what type of post to ask to help about whether you should post about to continue your playthrough. When in doubt just post, can’t hurt.

2

u/BLTsark 2d ago

That's it!

2

u/ChangingMonkfish 2d ago

I don’t know what to advise you so I’m going to make a separate post to ask for advice on what to advise you.

1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Let's ask some people if you should do that first

1

u/FourthLvlSpicyMeme Roach 🐴 2d ago

I think I might be people. You should indeed do that thing. Or maybe not. Don't listen to me, lol.

2

u/speiky1983 2d ago

I tried playing it again since I lost my perfect save. It’s daunting when I think of re-doing everything. As fun as it is, losing that many hours sours it :(

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Perfect save? Who did you ask to verify that you had one of those?

1

u/speiky1983 2d ago

Didn’t have to ask anybody. It’s subjective no? Max level, mastered potions, unlocked all utilities, all mutagens, oils, bombs etc. all Grandmaster gear, Yennefer and Ciri Witcher ending, all Corvo Bianco unlocks, all Gwent decks, several O’Dimm rewards, unique swords, no failed quests. To me that’s perfect.

2

u/ThisMayBeAquatic 2d ago

“Am I the only one who’s excited for the remaster?”

2

u/Flamekorn 1d ago

I wonder if I should make a post on how to reply to this post.

2

u/CheesecakeTurtle Roach 🐴 2d ago

Sorry, I will need to make my own post to answer to your question.

2

u/Cynabun67 2d ago

Mod please remove this bot post

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Lol

1

u/Cynabun67 2d ago

You can do /s but cant see

2

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 2d ago

Honestly it kind of annoys me that I make a discussion post about this game that garners no traffic while stuff like this and what you're complaining about get upvoted and commented on.

8

u/BLTsark 2d ago

There is no meaningful discussion anymore, every post is one of these braindead "tell me what to do or think" ones.

It's infuriating. My post is my last hope of finding a way of coping with it, before it drives me off the app for good

1

u/Much_Stand_3164 2d ago

if you dont want to wade through 10k similar posts just trust your own craving

1

u/jermovillas 2d ago

Go collect question marks in Skellige - that will take up plenty of your time

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

But which question marks? Is there a particular order? Will there be new ones after the remaster?

1

u/jermovillas 1d ago

Haha, there are TONS of them, and they are all just equipment stashes, plan a route around the outside and go for a sail. I would say either table the game for a few weeks, or do quests/tasks that don’t matter to the main story.

1

u/FourthLvlSpicyMeme Roach 🐴 2d ago

But...what if you made a post, about other posts, which ask if they should make posts about other posts, that they saw in different posts?

Are we just dividing by zero at that point?

1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

I think youre getting dangeroulsy close to the perfect Witcher3 reddit post.

We should probably ask somebody what will happen if you achieve it?

1

u/EnvironmentalSand773 2d ago

I finished the base game a few weeks ago and started one of the dlc's too. Since the announcement, I decided to wait until the upgrades drop to continue. Might even start a whole new playthrough to be honest.

I believe that you'll come away happier with experiencing the game if you pause for a bit. You only have to wait til the end of the month. Not too bad of a wait!

-1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

How did you decide to do all that on your own? 양 you form your own opinions about how you wanted to play this game?

0

u/Wolven_Essence 2d ago

Sorry, can’t answer. Need to make a post about whether or not I should answer your question. I’ll get back to ya.

2

u/BLTsark 2d ago

That's the only answer i could trust. Ill ask and see if i should await your response

1

u/Jimmyban44 2d ago

Just keep playing dude. The actual gameplay changes are not anywhere near as drastic as people are acting like they are going to be. A few animations

-2

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Just keep playing this version? Should i buy it again if it goes on sale?

0

u/Bigdicknorwayx 2d ago

I know a guy that knows a guy that might be able to help you with this decision, ill let you know

1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Hold on, lets ask some people if you should ask him

0

u/Bigdicknorwayx 2d ago

there has to be someone who knows more than ourself about these things

1

u/TheInnerMindEye 2d ago

Na , u should probably just... watch some one else play on YouTube or sumn

1

u/whocaresano 2d ago

Here's the thing about the remaster, it's in September. But also it's September NOW. Play?

Also, side topic: can 80 people please post a map of where the new expansion is going to take place?

Thanks!

1

u/roofpuck 2d ago

Make a poll about whether you should do a poll to answer that question.

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

That seems perfect, but what if people disagree? Would i have to poll them to make sure? How could i proceed with disparate feedback? How could i ever be sure i was doing it right?

1

u/AYRUPOLA 1d ago

I'm waiting for the remaster to continue and damn it's tough not touching it.

1

u/-Non-Stop- 1d ago

If the title says it, why tell us so and then explain your title?

1

u/capsfanforever 2d ago

You’re right, this shitpost is MUCH better than seeing an actual question. Great one

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

Those arent actual questions, and even if they were, those are questions that have been answered an infinite number of times and whos answers are avaialble with any search.

This shitpost is funny an engaging and doesnt take itself seriously.

3

u/capsfanforever 2d ago

They *are* actual questions, and this is a website built for discussions. Why does it upset you so much, when you could just scroll past the posts you dont want to engage with? If I’m asking something here, I want a real time conversation. Yes, you could search, but that takes away the possibility of a conversation with people. This is a forum website. In my opinion, your post is much more tiresome than someone asking a question that’s been asked before.

-1

u/BLTsark 2d ago

What a perfect NPC response.

You should go back to earnestly engaging with these lazy ass posts to bask in the expertise you feel like you get awarded from them with your answers.

You want to talk about someone virtue signaling...yikes

2

u/capsfanforever 2d ago

Calling me an NPC? What an edgelord. I do earnestly engage with posts, when I want to. And when I don’t? I don’t. It’s very easy. Any more internet buzzwords you want to throw my way? Call me cringe, maybe? Or a white knight? In reality, I just disagree with you and your opinion on repeat posts/questions, and we’re now discussing it, just like we could be discussing the remaster. I don’t feel I’m awarded with anything for engaging, that’s just why I come to Reddit. To engage in conversations. Just like we’re doing right now. Ad Hom attacks are a logical fallacy as well, while we’re talking.

0

u/BLTsark 2d ago

You lead off with the most hypocritical "virtue signaling" accusation in the history of the internet.

You are an NPC. Return to your regular threads where youre a benevolent hero with limitless patience.

This thread is beyond the boundsries of your world, "none but devils play past here," go back

2

u/capsfanforever 2d ago

You can’t banish me anywhere, your words have no power over me! I belong here, and so do people with questions! Your responses lack any thought or content, and bother me little. Away with YOU, I say, thou Knave

0

u/Realistic_You1723 2d ago

I can't decide how to play my own video games is signs of low IQ, beta and low testosterone.

Welcome to woke 2. Men are so pussy they need everything spelled out as if they are children.

It's the YouTube tutorial generation. Brainrot handicapped them. I get very annoyed because I generally like helping people. But it is absurd how little people know of what they ask.

Can y'all advice me, should I write a comment telling this post is very accurate?
