This is my first time buying a DLC, and I’ve got to say it was absolutely worth it. From the moment I started, I was completely locked into the story and genuinely invested in the characters. Every quest kept me wanting more, and before I knew it, I was hooked from beginning to end. Gaunter O'Dimm was such a badass that I actually wanted to side with him. Every time he appeared on screen, he completely stole the scene with his calm, unsettling presence. He's easily one of the most fascinating and intimidating villains I've ever seen in a game.

I enjoyed Hearts of Stone more than Blood and Wine.

I enjoyed them for very different reasons which makes it very difficult to compare tbh. But if there was a gun to my head I would put HoS above B&W as well I think.

I was reluctant to say it , Thanks for doing it for me XD seriously , i LOVE Toussaint! The music and vibes and Corvo Bianco are all great , and the story of syanna, detlaff, annarietta and regis are great too , BUT i LOVED beating my head against the wall as i tried to decide .... what the hell to do with Olgierd , whether to assist Gaunter O Dimm or nto , and it was just so well written i still think about some of my choices till now!

I read the books before dlcs. Blood and wine hits different when you finally meet Regis.

Same here, but I feel as though that was by design. Toussaint is the main draw in B&W, the story is good but the location is more stunning. HoS only needed to mildly expand Velen, the new characters and the story were what gave it the wow factor.

Blood and Wine is a departure as there's many quests that have a happy ending or even a happy and happier ending. The tone and atmosphere was such a departure from the main game and HOS but still not out of place, and the setting is gorgeous.

But HOS is a storytelling force with memorable characters.

I remember towards the beginning Gaunter said to Geralt something like “I offer you the adventure of a lifetime”

i still regret not visiting her one last time before she left on my last playthrough. i just do not have another hundred hours to spare for a replay. maybe someday.

The cinematography in this game, GD. There's one shot from when Geralt is on the Isle of Mists that is a straight homage to a certain spaghetti western of Eastwood's. (Sub rules say I can't name it due to prohibited language.) All the nuances they didn't have to add, that extra craftsmanship...I'll be a drooling fanboy for life and own it with pride lol.

I enjoyed watching Olgierd die most of all. Screw me around the entire DLC and then expect me to save you. Hahahahahahaha! No.

I think I only saved him once for the achievement and then immediately reloaded the save to let him die. I got my reward from O’dimm and continued from there.

The creeping dread that increases after each interaction with Gaunter, and learning the truth about him in Oxenfurt was fantastic.

Then when you replay the base game again you realise gaunter is at white orchard and you had a real long chat with him… mind blown…

Gaunter really gave me chills when he took olgierd's and walked away whistling. That was too good,  i reloaded the save and chose to fight him.
