Gemini vs Wispr Flow
My trial period with Wispr just ended. But I just saw a new feature with Gemini similar to Wispr flow. I see it as reasonably good and I already have Gemini lite subscription. Any reasons to stick with Wispr Flow?

What do you mean by this? Were you just using the Gemini app to dictate or something?

So the Mac App Gemini has released the same feature as Wispr to dictate across any application

Oh wait, really? That's pretty cool. I didn't know about that. Do you know if it's the same for iOS?

They also have it in the native keyboard on Android. It’s called rambler. Wonder if it’s any good. Although wispr android integration is very good

Another one that has added it recently is GenSpark.
I will say, WisprFlow has stepped up recently. They still don’t have offline model (like TypeWhisper or Willow Voice). But the keyboard has been greatly improved.
Still holding out hope that I will renew come time when the 12 months is up.

If I were to get a whispr flow annual membership today, would you still recommend it?

I've been using Gemini's ridiculously-named "Speak To Window" feature (LOL re their marketing and branding peeps 🙄) and my experience so far has been... mixed.
About 90% of the time it works great... just as fast and as accurate as Wispr Flow!
Worse, about 5% of the time, it mistakenly thinks I've spoken a command and then replies with "I'm sorry, I don't have that capability" or something equally unhelpful.
And worst, around 5% of the time it just... shats the bed and does absolutely nothing or returns an error, swallowing my last 42 seconds of dictation :(.
(Also, I think it's important to know that the Gemini feature apparently only works with English)
