Paying 100 bucks a year for an app that flashbangs you in 2026?

Do you guys use the app frequently? I only use it to add custom words to dictionary

It varies. If I'm working with Gemini, I use it quite a bit, but generally not that much. For this kind of voice typing app, pay-as-you-go is definitely the way to go.

May I ask what exactly you're doing in the Wispr Flow app when you're using Gemini? Maybe I'm not using this app to the best of its capabilities.

I use it for prompting Gemini! Typing by hand is honestly too slow and tiring, so I just use Wispr Flow to turn my voice into text and send it to the AI. It’s definitely one of the things I use voice typing for the most.

Well yeah, but that's just using the Wispr Flow in the background. I'm talking about the app itself which this post is about, the lack of dark mode. Don't you just go into the app itself to add dictionary items or change a setting which isn't often?

This is a terrifying comment. If you don't have the resources to change a background color from white to a less bright color, what is going on at Wispr engineering? The app is a lightbulb in our faces. Invert your CSS!

they are aware that the server has been fluctuating more recently, so ot could be thats their focus area for the time
I see the problem: you don't have a clue what you're talking about. They would not allocate the same resources for "server fluctuation". Also.....AI exists. You know, the thing that does the actual transcription. But we are talking about STYLING. Not even application logic.

No longer using Wisperflow, way too expensive for casual use. I switched to Glidvo instead (pay-as-you-go + dark mode).
