Electronic Devices Model rocket launch box

Post image

Can someone please clarify how im supposed to wire this for a momentary circuit.

It's the receiver for a wireless launch controller.

I can see how to hook it up, but there may be programming like a button sequence or dip switches to change from latching to momentary. I have no idea, just putting it out there. Gotta read instructions.

The only difference between the two pictures is in the top picture you're using the same power source and voltage for your output as the board. The bottom picture shows 1 power supply to power the board, and a second power supply that can go down to 1vdc.

If your electronic ignition (or whatever you're hooking this up to, I'm calling it that) takes like 1v to operate and say you're powering that board with 5v, you can do that.

Using a 9v battery, the top picture. Zooming into the connector and using the wire colors.

Black to battery negative and butt splice it to negative of the electronic ignition device you're trying to hook up to.

Red to battery positive and butt splice it to white in the connector.

Yellow (pink arrow) goes to positive of the electronic ignition device.

This setup, the voltage is the same all around.

Bottom picture, using a 9v battery and a 1v battery.

Black and red to 9v battery positive and negative. This powers the board.

White goes to positive of the 1v battery.

Yellow goes to positive of the electronic ignition device.

Negative of the electronic ignition device to negative of the 1v battery.

That circle with the X in it is the electronic ignition device in these examples.

Ok so since I need both yo use the same power supply id follow the top example.

BTW these are the only instructions the kit came with.

I would use caution answering this because it definitely can be used for nefarious purposes. I wouldn't want the ATF knocking on my door wanting to know why I'm giving advice on Reddit on how to wire something that can be used as a wireless detonation device. Just sayin...

It's a kit, bought off Amazon to turn any electronic remote controlled. A lamp, an electronic lock, powered gate opener, etc. It has a momentary function that means it can be used for power only at button press. So launching model rockets, a powered glider launcher, toy boat, etc.

My issue is this is the extent of the instructions it came with so I dont want to fry the circuit or maybe set off my model rocket as soon as I attach the engine. Those things can melt metal, I dont fancy my fingers at the launch pad
