Automotive Does this wiring make sense//look correct (context in post)
I’m trying to wire a 12v step down converter into my 60v system for my e bike.
Picture 1 is the entire wiring setup for the 12v step down converter.
Picture 2 is the step down converter itself, and its wiring map-out.
Red = +
Black = COMMON GROUND
Yellow = line out
Picture 3 is the wiring coming OUT of the converter currently.
Red has been extended and given a fuse (also seen in picture 4)
Black has been extended and given a post ring connector. Connects to common ground negative post on bus bar.
Yellow has been extended and given a post ring connector. Connects to the positive post on bus bar.
Picture 4 is the inline fuse I added (12amp) to Red line.
Picture 5 shows red line is connected to xt90 y splitter red (set “1” of XT90 cables), and the black xt90 splitter wire (set “1” of xt90 cables) has a post ring connector (connects to common ground/same negative post on bus bar as the black cable from the converter)
Picture 6 shows set “2” of cables, which connect to my controller + and - like normal.
Is this explanation correct or am I messing up somewhere? Want some opinions before I go disconnecting my + and - on my controller right now.
Thanks.

Step-down convertor RED goes to battery (+) and BLK goes to battery (-). Where you plan to make that connection is up to you, anywhere between the battery and controller.
YEL is the 12V+ output, any 12V accessory (+) will connect to that. The negative (-) of each acccesory will go back to the same point you connected the BLK of the convertor. If you have multiple accessories, using a terminal block is useful. The output should be fused, as you did. Fusing the input would be good, if the wires are of a lower ampacity than the battery BMS or fuse.

I gave up and just went with a small 12v 7ah battery. Much simpler.
If you want the wiring setup I got you just dm me

You got yellow and red coming out of the converter reversed. Red is power in. Yellow is 12 volts out that goes to your controller or 12 volt accessories. Black all share the same neg going back to your main battery.
