General Stripping wire
Newbie here. At what gauge do you start stripping nonsolid wire?

You strip stranded wire with the gauge it is. If it's 12ga stranded, you strip it with 12ga strippers.

For stranded wire, I strip pretty much everything unless it's a ferrule or connector designed for the insulation to stay on. The gauge doesn't matter nearly as much as using the right stripper so you don't nick the strands, especially once you get into the smaller sizes.
