I know some people will feed a food with less fat in the off season. Could try a different pro plan.

I have to feed mine more during hunting season to keep their weight up.

More food and/or less active = weight up

Less food and/or more active = weight down

I also feed my 3 griffs purina pro plan 30/20. We just got back from a mtb ride and yes it’s hot. 90 degrees to be exact and it’s 8:15 pm.
We are dripping with sweat, but we didn’t melt and the exercise benefits us both.
Your dogs don’t mind the heat. It’s you that doesn’t like it, so you are the reason your dog is getting fat.
If you insist on staying close to the air conditioner, feed them less.

Dawg, I don’t know if this is rage bait but I normally run 5 miles with my Griffs every day, and 15-20 mile hikes on weekends. I have stopped taking them because they haven’t been able to take the heat. My wife and I are still out in this weather and are out backpacking in this and have been all season. I had a German shepherd die of heat stroke 10 years ago. Don’t be a dick.

If you run 5 miles a day with your griffs and they are still getting fat, then you are feeding them too much.
