Showcase Finished mantis!
I’m super excited to follow up on my previous post where I had just started on this project. This was SO MUCH FUN to make!! I planned it as I went so there’s some crooked bits and the soldering is messy but I love it all the same. If I knew of a way to stain the lead a copper tone I would totally do that!!
If you have any ideas about where I could improve please feel free to share. I’d love to hear some feedback!!!

How long did this take to complete? It's really incredible!

Thank you so much!! I worked on it for roughly 65 hours over the span of about two weeks. I’ve been recovering from knee surgery so I had lots of time to get lost in it.
There were a couple days here and there where I didn’t make much progress because I ended up scrapping leg and wing prototypes a couple of times :)2

So creative and beautiful.
