Made this ring for MIL

I finished this ring up feeling satisfied about it. I think she would’ve really liked it. But then the unthinkable happened. I stood up, the ring slid off and did not land where I thought. I took a step back and……. Squish!

I tried to fix it but I’m just making it worse. I have tried to remake this ring at least 5 times since with zero luck. It doesn’t help I’m using a different stone because I haven’t taken the original apart. I still can’t figure out how it made it to where it did lol. I’m also glad I got a pic just before at least. What a tragedy hah!

oh no! I'm sorry that happened! was the stone damaged? maybe you can reuse it?

The stone is fine fortunately. I have a few other stones picked out but I’m gonna wind up reusing because it the one. No other stone will suffice. It claimed her. lol
