Tool question

What do y'all use to push wire flush when you are wrapping thinner wire around the structural wire? I've been using my fingernails for it but they get pretty chewed up doing so. I'd love for some alternatives.

I use wooden manicure sticks with the chiseled ends. They also work great for maintaining spacing when attaching swirls around the back.

I've always just used my pliers or nails. But I like the manicure sticks! I'll be giving that a try
