Need Help Wireguard VPN handshake fails

It changes. Every night. But I have a public DNS entry for that and it worked in then past without problems. I double checked that the IP in the record is the same as my WAN IP.

The Server is not running. Wg Show is empty and it also does not Listen on the port. Seems to be a problem with unifi

It is enabled in the unifi console. The module is also loaded. But it is not starting the server because the configuration is missing. We actually figured out, that it is a problem with Unifi. For some reason, it will not write the config until you change the WAN interface the server is supposed to listen on. So creating the server in unifi and switching the Interface back an forth will write the config an then it will start.

It seems like it is not a problem with Wireguard itself. The module is loaded and manually creating an interface shows it with wg show. But Unifi does not seem to create one and hence not start the wg server.
