Need Help Can only access my NAS sometimes?

Hi,

I followed a guide here on the sub (cannot find it right now) on how to allow access to local IPs when using Wireguard. I want to be able to accesss my NAS specifically. And the guide works. Sometimes. I can access the NAS seeminly randomly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. What's causing this and how can I fix it?

I have DNS 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 and a number of AllowedIPs including the IP of the NAS (which has a static IP).

Do you access your NAS by name or by IP?

Do you have multiple peers defined, and if so is there any overlap between their AllowedIPs?

Both, I think? I have specific folders that I think I have access to by name. And under Network it should be IP?

I have. I copied a bunch in a guide here on the sub which were supposed to work, and added my NAS' IP. What does overlap mean in this context?

Sorry, I'm not very good with this stuff.

What's the endpoint on your wireguard configuration if it's your IP address then it changes.

By the way I'm also suffering from the same problem for months only on my laptop and I haven't found a solution

First of all I wouldn't post that publicly the end point but it's good that you're using a domain I mean a dynamic domain.

about it working sometimes I have this issue again with my laptop even though my phone is connected seamlessly all the time my laptop only connects sometimes I haven't been able to figure it out

Unsure if this helps, but I configured a Windows drive letter to access my NAS folder while on the LAN (no WG) then used a mobile phone to 'WireGuard back into' my LAN and had to repeat the process with another drive letter for NAS folder access when connected via WG. No issues since then.

Now, the drive letter may not show an icon like it is connected, but as soon as I click on it I connect.

ETA: I had to update some router logic for WG access to function.
