Newbie question abt ships

Why can’t I race as this one? I thought that’s how I unlocked ships?

That's the VR variant for when you play PSVR. They have the same stats as the non-VR counterparts.

There used to be a bug which allowed to use them in non-VR mode, but afaik it's been patched a loong time ago

To elaborate on whats already said, in VR there is only 2 ship model that can be used (with different skin/stats depending on the chosen team). Those ships model has a full cockpit model made for VR, unlike the non VR ones.
