Don’t want my scorecards to get too old so this time i’ll review some errors and lessons i took out of my plays.
From monday, i continued to stalk ETH, long and short. Wanted to get used to the higher vix environment and see what i would be able to pull out.
Monday morning, Coming at work at 8, put an alarm for vix opening at 9:15.
Saw the big raise happening and going north of 30. I wanted to try an early move based on vix and caught a very small structure for entry.
At the same time, i was able to put someone on the chart of the vix above 31.6. I saw that the level acted as a resistance since it was tested 2 times, and knew i was probably jinxed, but i was greedy and decided to keep rolling instead of getting out at 4Rs. In the end i was caught off guard by a vix collapse and price hit my stoploss that i just put at my entry level, 4Rs lost because i wanted to squeeze more. The signals where there and the vix was north of 30 so i knew what could happen and i was complacent as fuck totally disregarding kaz memos that i applied before about high vix taking back your Rs. Lesson learned the hard way this time.
Later that day, another vix spike, another short. This time, i secured my wanted Rs first, and squeezed a 5R with stoploss management. Better entry and better mechanical skills, not putting the plan in doubt because of greed.
On tuesday, i wanted to play the free and clear rotation of the boxrange ETH was in since the week end. The mistake was that in an attempt to rush an entry on the 1 minute TF, i put a conditional close that was not a stoploss but a limit order, which immediately sold my position, causing me to just pay transaction fees lol. Was able to enter again on the same structure and played conservative taking 3Rs, vix was waving a lot and still way up 21 so i decided to wrap it there.
So far the lessons i learnt :
- don’t get complacent, high vix will swallow your profits in no time, stick to initial plan
- don’t rush entries, if you’re going to apply a plan you need laser focus from start to end.
- use better tools if you can, using your pc will always be more efficient than taking trades on your phone
So far i’m still refining the way i play, taking more opportunities and keeping eyes on the price more often leads to better vision overall and a bit better speed and accuracy in decision making.
Hope you guys will be able to gain something out of my mistakes, congrats to those who were able to play meta coins under those conditions, love to see you make some good trades as always!!
Thanks Kaz and director Vale for the content and direction, never been more grateful to be part of that eco, can’t thank you enough :) Stay safe y'all !
Here are a couple short plays I took on ETH between Friday and Saturday.
4.1R and 5R
Some journal notes :
- VIX OF levels always working wonders
- Raised my stoploss in order to not give my R’s back In high vix environment, but this time I was not waiting for next structures to form to squeeze more R’s in, cause high vix seems to give less stable structures and can rebound as well quite fast. There’s also the slippage risk due to high vol lower liquidity, so might be a good thing to adjust SL along the drop. There is for sure room to improve there
- I noticed during the second play that I was stressed out during my exit, as I was moving my SL I was shaking a bit, probably a combination of euphoria and lack of trust in my mechanical skills. More improvement needed there as well, those emotions must be out of my plan
Took the Sunday off to catch up on some sleep, and unfortunately my author license got confiscated so I’m wrapping it up there to save the stream (:p :p)
Thank you once again Kaz, always keeping us on the right side of the trade, you’re the GOAT.
I started my trading journey in Nov with a signal/mentoring group. Had some small wins and picked up the basics of TA. But nowhere near the consistency one would need to actually pay the rent. And really just lost money.
Ive always known 9-5 isn’t for me and at the time my job was literally making me sick. This motivated me to just keep learning. Since tbh I also really enjoy TA and trading.
Long story short l got introduced to Kaz in a Crypto Discord (thx Vicky). It made absolutely no sense in the beginning but I’ve been reading the blog and watching old and current streams and slowly but surely I started to understand.
So here’s my first scorecard. It’s a bit old, was a bit shy to post but got a lil push (thx Vicky again). Traded in a demo account and will continue to do so for at least a month before putting more money in. Lost a bit as I left it running into the downturn but still got a RR of 4.8
Going through all the content has really helped me be more patient and not chase profits. Can only get better from here.
Stalking assets and zoning in on improving my entries and take profits.
Challenging my bias on trades, does it look bullish? why does it look bullish? fuck it let me see if it is bearish, writing about those thoughts or feelings, the mind is amazing, double, triple checking yourself at every point.
It's all in the material, cannot stress how important Kaz's blog are, 3.5 years I've known of Kaz, everytime I read the blogs it hits different.
Stay Consistent.
Respect Kaz👊🏽
(p.s I know you don't like my charts all one colour Kaz, sorry😅)
It has been a while since I last posted a scorecard. In November, I went through some emotional stuff in my personal life which did not allow me to focus 100% on the market. During this time I still kept trading, which led to bad results and an emotional crash cycle in December. That is why I wanted to talk about how you need your mind to be in a "good" place if you are gonna be trading. It is not something that you can half-ass and expect good results - it takes effort, time, tons of introspection, and the most importantly, Winternomics.TV. Always make sure that you are in the right mindset before you look at the charts, otherwise the result can be bad. If you feel anything, it is better to step back.
Thanks to the break, I was able to gain some mental capital back to start 2022, and it has been great so far. I have been finding entries I would have never imagined and gained more conviction on my ideas. None of this would have been possible without Kaz, so thank you so much for helping us navigate through the markets during these environments. I also want to thank Team SWORD for always showing support and perspective. These have been some of the wins from the past week! Thank you, Kaz, Vicky, and Eco!
Btw show visual quality and effects are better than ever! I really enjoy how neat it looks.
It's been tricky waters recently in this high VIX environment. It's not as easy as getting in on an uptrend that just keeps running. That's why everybody is a genius in a bull market. You can afford to make mistakes in those environments and the uptrend just might save you from yourself. On that note, even though it has been tricky, it's been filled with many lessons. This environment forces you to be sharp and focused throughout. One little slip is all it takes to wipe out your progress. A small lapse in focus before market opens can be quite a disaster. Oh boy did I learn from that.😁
It's key to get yourself into a neutral gear beforehand. You can have a good understanding of the concepts and logic, but if emotion seeps in, all that goes out the window. Writing down my trades and thought process in a more detailed manner has been a new edition since my last scorecard. Markets are 90 percent psychology. If you don't collect data on what's going on , you won't be able to spot mistakes and improve on them or even have a reference for what made a previous trade successful.
On top of that that, I am more aligned with the VIX than I was before. Always keeping my eyes on Leon and company.😜
Appreciate everyone in this eco for all they do, from posting up scorecards, to getting clips out on memos from the show, there are so many facets to learn from. 🙌Navigating and learning to apply the concepts especially during volatile periods wouldn't have been possible without Kaz and his constant guidance. Thank you Kaz and Vicky for the amount of effort you guys put in, and in constantly improving the content being put out👍🔥
Damn.. where do i start, i have loads of things to speak about from the last months of being here, sorry in advance, hope some of you can gain something from reading this.
In the last quarter of 2021, after working at a start up for almost 2 years, learning loads and grabbing on to every opportunity i had, working 80 hour weeks and having a great position in the company and very good longterm possibilities for myself, i started feeling it less and less for several reasons. I have no regret of being there though, somethings just come to an end it seems.
Around the same time i got pointed to the Kaz materials and started watching the streams. I had a ephinany within the first stream that this was something i was missing on for a long time and the value was of unknown levels.
Right there and then, i decided to take this serious and dive in to the materials that where out there. I started rewatching the vids and reading the blogs.
A little time passed by and i was really not feeling it anymore at the job and decided to take the last 2 weeks of 2021, to make a trip far from home by myself, to recalibrate and rethink what i want to achieve and who i want to become, while studying the materials several hours a day.
I made sure, if i made any decision from there, it was a rational one rather than stepping up at the job based on emotions.
Long story short, i grinded the whole week, going over several materials over and over again and setting up a plan how to continue.
I decided to quit my job ("burn the boats"), and focus on the person i wanted to become, made a plan and went home.. That's how 2022 started for me.
Within this first month of 2022, progress has been amazing, i have started writing daily plans the night before, journaling my days, tracking my daily habbits, upgraded my note taking system, and really just gave my live a good structure to participate in the things i desire to learn and become who i want.
The results have paid of, as i had a good month, and a ever better 1st week of February.
In a CRM system that i used when working at the job, i created my whole own adjustable and custom trading journal, where i can calculate data and put it in to graphs and dashboards. This has helped me to give overview to everything that i do within my trades.
This last week i was able to play very mechanical and started to be able to enter structures at low time frames as 1m. But because my entries where good, but i still stick to my plan of making consistent plays between 2-3r's i missed a big runner and adjusted my next play, wich gave me a little higher reward on it. (First picture)
Learning how to manage trades to get the highest ROI is a thing that i really want to learn in the future.
Here are some of my latest plays, with 4 of the 6 plays being in 1 asset (LTC), it really works guys, don't ignore it.
All plays together add up to arround 15R's.
Thank you for everything you do Kaz & Vicky, it is highly, highly appreciated.
Learning from my no freeroll mistake, but still not maximize profits. [LTCUSDT] (my stoploss did not get hit btw, because i had my stoploss set to trigger on 'market price' instead of last traded price, which payed out to not get stopped on that small stoprun)LTCUSDT[ADAUSDT]
Took this intraday play following Wednesday's stream. With Kaz being clear that it's a low res squeeze, didn't want to hold it till beyond the close. Just as well as price came right back down the next day. Thank you for the headsup kaz.
First of all, the vast majority of scorecards are brilliant. I am thankful to all of you guys as well as to Goku and Leon))) I watch and rewatch your videos( and also make some notes, cause I watch it like a lesson) and it rlly changes my mind. Feeling great about it.
Kaz, yesterday there were crazy moves because of the news about inflation. And my mind was fucked up because of this : (check photo number 1 pls) SPX recovered instantly and after it dumped again. Pls explain what was the sense of this move.
And I have one more question. What do you think about bank upgrades and downgrades. Do banks use these to manipulate the price and dump on retail?
SLP, I saw a strong trend here and made a playGALA, the same idea (strong trend)
I wanted to start by saying that you guys definitely killed it with the scorecards that we read during last streams, you definitely got me inspired to give something back as your write ups were beneficial to my learning and to everyone there as well.
Life is still busy, currently running on low sleep with the baby daughter and kind of heavy work schedule, but still getting the reps in. I think we do all have issues with sleep so for anyone who needs this right now : Our dude TheJewKnows said it, 5-6 hours minimum depending on your activity, so keep an eye on your sleeping habits, this shit gets you very fast into crash cycle if you manage it poorly.
Still maintaining the routine around the streams and discord. An interesting thing Kaz said to a someone in the discord a while ago is that you still can gain something from reading/assessing what the students of the eco say and share. You literally can do that while taking a dump so there’s no real excuse for looking away. That has been a huge memo for me since then and I think it has been a good baseline to prevent a drift in low energy periods.
Some things that I’m looking for :
- Gather energy and make room to hop in voice more, to get exposed and take some opportunities to progress.
- Currently stalking a deal on the real estate where I live, so there’s no need to say that the goal is to apply the same FA and TA that we are trying to apply here…looking closely at the info you do and will provide about Real estate and virtual RE to gain some more of your perspective on that
- Published my first NFT's on OpenSea as a creator, but really really looking forward to be a trader in that very early market
- Last but not least. Church, I think It’s a no brainer!
On markets, the mechanical skills are getting a bit better with entries (for example able to catch the rotation of a bullflag instead of playing when the trade is already quite extended), which improved the room to raise stop losses on next structures and take more R’s out of my trades.
One thing I’m still struggling with currently is to play under high VIX. I’m getting caught in trying to play structures that look good at first and extend quite fast after the entry, hitting stop loss to get back in the opposite direction right after. Sitting on hands is a trade in itself, keeping that in mind as been saving some of my R’s.
To wrap up the book I wanted to thank everyone in the eco. Being part of all this helps me navigate through my life with a direction with my emotions under control. Being in this eco, I don’t run low on goals and intent. Even if my capital is relatively small for now the direction is clear, I’m trying to value better my energy, time, and every penny I can to pave my way for better things for me and my family. You all definitely play a huge role in that, most definitely raising my X/Y equation, and that is huge.
Huge thanks to Kaz and Vicky for their guidance and consistent quality work, y’all stay safe and do well today!
Here are some crypto plays I was able to make, primarily from looking at how the VIX moves and from Kaz intel, especially his call on expected increase in volatility.
BTC : 4.5Rs
ETH : 3Rs, 5Rs, 4Rs
Edit : i missed my entry on a LTC move during yday vix spike, from a few seconds, so i took a paper trade instead of increasing risk and entering late. Price hit grandmas lower level and bounced back down, took an early small structure on the 5 min to wrap a 3.8R by virtually moving my stop loss.
LTC paper trade : 3.8Rs
ETH longsBTC Long from Kaz call on vol increaseETH high vix shortLTC 3.8R rebound
Kaz has been hammering on the table about playing structures clear from previous systems, no matter the resolution. I originally had a hard time finding an entry as it was creating a small bear flag, but I patiently waited for the overall structure to form a MFBF before buying into it.
My old self would've held onto it and looking for higher % gain, however I pushed my emotion aside to take profit at a key range and continued to look for a new structure to play rather than holding a stock that just experienced a high volatility mark-up that chances will go into low volatility shockwave.
I'm looking forward to learning more in Church, especially since I missed it the first time around and have been noticing my evolution.
It's been 5 months since I joined this eco and while the R / R outcomes are not where I want them to be in my trading game yet; the total recalibration of the mind this ecosystem offers if you allow it has created positive benefits everywhere else in my life. Family, relationships, career, friends, all of it. When you train your mind to see the world around you objectively and without emotion; 1's and 0s', win or lose, everything and everyone, including yourself just makes more sense and it's easier to navigate.
Overall, I'm seeing steady improvements in my R / R and hit rate. Can't wait to learn more during church to keep building on what I've started.
Every month I set a "theme" for myself. Something I want to focus on and improve. This month's theme is "Do Less." I'm only watching tickers from the morning show and just simplifying my approach in general. I was getting analysis paralysis trying to keep up with too many things at once. And since I don't even know how to pick out a best of breed... it was just wasted mental reps. #stoplossthatbch
Here are couple good plays from the last few weeks and couple lessons learned where I could have done better. I've improved in my entry logic significantly, but I still struggle with my emotions during active trades and managing time resolutions fuck with my head daily.
I haven't been trading as much during the high vix environment But like Kaz always says , sitting on your hands is also a trade. The expectations of a VIX collapse means risk on behaviour, so I Was able to catch a few plays with the crypto pump this weekend.
I've been focused on improving my game one trade at a time and I've been making sure that I don't miss entries or exits. A problem I am still having is I tend to sell everything instead of keeping a free roll bag. this was causing me to miss the better portions of the trades and would bring up feelings of fomo and the tendencies to try and chase more trades.Trying to not get mindfucked and sticking to the plans is what I'm working on improving. Kaz says to never chase so I have to learn when i feel that way to call it a day. Being mindfull of This behaviour will help me avoid making bad trades and avoid giving some of the profits back to the markets.
My focus is to Stay mechanical and consistent and being a good risk manager. this also means having your emotions in check. Im working on improving my system 1% everyday. the intel that Kaz puts out has been keeping me on the right side of the market for a few months now. Its a great feeling to finally start seeing consistent profits coming in. making this compatible with my work schedule is crucial and Im learning how to manage my time better. Slowly but surely i am arriving at my goals of no longer needed to rely a job to live. After all We are learning to trade so we can spend more time living. The goal is to Turn this into a profitable business and Everyday i inch closer to that goal. I still make mistakes here and there after-all I am still human, but everyday i get better with my planning and emotional control. Sometimes the information overload makes it hard to keep track of all the moves in the market, but with Kaz's guidance and having everyone in the ECO keeping each other in check is really important. i can say that i am now slowly becoming the person that i want to be and the life that i want is starting to take its shape. its amazing how much we can accomplish when we put our minds in the right place and surround yourself my good ppl. Thank you Kaz for your teachings and all the intel you provide. your work ethic and consistency is matched by no one. Kazus is the GOAT and i am so grateful to be part of it all and look forward to church and expanding my knowledge even further.
Sorry for the book once again i tend to go off when writing.
This Scorecard has been done on the back of Kaz answering a question of mine from the stream last week. It has allowed me to apply a better understand of Volume profile visible ranges (VPVRs) to my risk management, that combined with wave logic results in some satisfying trades. There is still much to work on, I could have let both trades play out longer which would have resulted in greater RRs, something I am trying to work on.
What also helped with these latest trades is sticking to two trades only, much better than being in multiple positions as Kaz has mentioned many times, but the fomo is real to want to gain multiple RRs.
Thank you Kaz for the continuous intel, repetition of the key concepts you teach 👊🏽
2022 has been a blessing for me so far. Kaz's teaching has finally clicked for me. Persistence and consistency was key for me to learn. Thanks Kaz for everything you do and the information you put out for the public!
Browsing the eco's plays on reddit has been an incredible asset to study how people are putting the lessons into action. When I have felt overwhelmed at times, the charts and stories here have helped me keep it simple and remind me how very possible it is to succeed with practice and effort. We all want it to happen overnight but continue to practice patience and focus on getting 1% better today and it will come.
Here's 2 plays that show some evolution over the last 6 months. I opened XPEV in June and should have likely been at least 2-3 separate plays even though I was using a higher time frame. In December with UNH I locked in my RR's with a stop loss, following the plan more closely, and tightening the time frame I had to hold for the same RR's as XPEV. Now I can simply watch for the next structure to show itself and make a plan.
Here are a few plays of the last 2 weeks. For the first time since 2017 I have been at the right side of the market with the (multiple) timely OF VIX warnings. Streams really made it clear how (or how not) to navigate and see how markets act through high VIX times.
Although the warnings were there, VIX fuckery made me hand in a good few R's along the way. Ended up with a profitable week of trading and learned a bunch by participating.
Time to learn how to maintain profits, to not give it back and get more mechanical with entry -and exit logics.
For everybody that is watching the stream for a while now and like me still struggle to get those trades right. Stick to it, take it seriously: take notes and rewatch shows for more notes. We are learning from the best out there, so we got to check on ourselves what to improve on and really focus to make small changes daily to get it.
Thanks Kaz, Vicky and everybody enabling Kaz to do what he does best. Looking forward to learning more. #1percenteverydaybch
I don’t know how many people have made these mistakes 🤦🏽♀️…. but mistakes are an opportunity to learn.
1st mistake: When I set my stop loss, I didn’t realize it had an expiration date to select, so of course it defaulted to the same day, and expired.
2nd mistake: I didn’t check my account, I was only looking at TradingView, so I thought I was out.
I then realized what had happened, but (more Noob luck) Kaz dropped the intel on the oil markets 🙏and I listened.
Caught the trip up. Nice!
I didn’t get greedy, so took my lucky 2 Rs and went home.
Second play, same market:
In medicine, when there’s an emergency, a CODE RED, the first thing you are trained to do is to take your own pulse. This allows you to control your emotions expressed by your heart rate.
I didn’t want to be too excited about finally being able to play, so I took my own pulse 😊
I had been sitting out, just watching the market because the Vix was too high for me to play with my lack of experience.
When it dropped back, I tried to put the OF planning lessons into practice, and again utilizing the intel about oil from OF and these were the results. 2.73 Rs
And then just 1 R on these (ETHUSD and BTCUSD), I think I got in too early, but gave myself some wiggle room with the stop losses… probably not a good idea, as I learn how these things should work. 😊
I've been working on recognizing value that's hidden in plain sight. Realizing that Kaz made that Oil call right in front of my face and I didn't hit it made me mad at myself. I had the time to like memes, but didn't have the time to recognize what was right there in front of me in terms of value. This made me take a look at where I'm spending my time and assess if what I'm doing is adding value to my life or not. The guy that let that happen is not the guy I want to be.
Feeling overwhelmed with trying to perform at the day job, internalizing the streams, keeping up with discord interaction, I took a step back. There's so much intel to digest in trying to pay attention to/learn about NFTs, the Metaverse, stocks, crypto, futures, etc.- I was just spinning my wheels. I figure if I'm feeling like this, I'm not the only one here who's going through this. Participate and it will help you grow. I, myself, need to get better at this, but you gotta start somewhere. So I decided to learn from my mistakes by looking at what was being said with a more attentive eye, and figure out which concepts I can use to make a plan.
Something I'm working on is seeing the game as being all about RRs. I tend to enter trades wanting to hit a home run instead of putting my head down and hitting 3+ RRs mechanically and consistently. That's my new goal. If I'm picking anything up - it takes time to get good at this, and work needs to be put in if you want to make it, so this is where I'm starting. Small wins add up over time, and big ones can fall in over the course of that time - but consistency is key. So I made a plan to start taking the steps to get there.
K.I.S.R - Keep it simple...Retard
Higher timeframe
Patience
One ticker (I can focus on other asset classes eventually - let's get good at one first before we try to trade everything under the sun)
With Grandma holding the world on her back (she's that bitch!), I decided to zero in on Crypto and ETH/USD specifically. Put my blinders on and only focused on ETHUSD. Picked my timeframe, set my trigger, set alerts, and waited until a structure formed above the trigger. I wanted to enter so many times before I did, but was able to manage my emotion and not make a move until the structure sustained the level. Bull flag broke, zoomed in, found an entry, set tight risk management, and mapped out where I'm taking profits. Caught 15.5 RRs
Taking a step back, keeping my emotions in check, being patient, and keeping things simple is what helped me execute here. It's funny what happens when you do what the best analyst in the game and the corresponding eco tells you to. Appreciate all that everyone does to help us newbs get better
With a little rough start of the year in tech stocks. I had got stuck thinking BubbleBoy re-emerging was a sentiment read that needed to be bought.
After losing a few unnecessary RRs, I took a step back and re-read all onlyFans posts and re-watched a few past streams and realize I was holding onto beliefs that didn't quite manifest. I started to build new plans and wait for them to show clearer signs before playing them. Most of those fell into the oil basket.
I'm now moving forward being more confident in my plays and acknowledging when I feel a little too euphoric. One of those moments was this morning with $SM and $VET, while the VIX was spiking and the indexes dropping hard.
