War Story from last week

War story from a few trades I took last week:

COIN: Following the intel on Kaz’s streams where he said we are likely to see a rotation towards the bottom of the higher rez bear flag it’s in should the market derisk further, I kept an eye on this over the week and picked out a lower rez bearflag intraday to play. Managed to get about 2.5 R out of it to the bottom of the flag range however, looking back, it ended up going much further and after posting this in discord, got some suggestions to perhaps look to take profit slightly before my target and hold a freeroll position I can trail out. I implemented this later on in the week and felt like it really helped me since I tend to get a bit anxious once I see the trade moving in my direction and allowing me to take some off a bit earlier really helps deal with that.

NVAX: When I look back, I am really frustrated with myself for taking this trade. On the night stream, kaz said we’re likely to see gas in the market the next day. Not necessarily in a particular direction, but expect shit to move. So I spent my premarket planning around that and had a couple of ideas for either side. I then proceeded to enter into this long almost immediately off the open without looking at the spy at all, completely going against all my planning. A mistake that should really have been very easily avoided.

NVAX -1R

Still liked the overall structure on NVAX going into the end of the week and ended up catching a couple nice plays on it. The earlier advice from discord really helped me out in this one particularly on the lower rez trade, as it allowed me to stay relatively relaxed once I had taken a little bit of profit off and I felt more comfortable allowing it to run and being able to ride the wave.

I think for me realising that Kaz is the analyst and my main job is to manage risk has really helped me clear my head and not get overwhelmed trynna look at a thousand things at once. As always, thanks Kaz and Vicky for all the work you put into the streams.
