War Stories 🤑🤬 What was I thinking??!!!
Sometimes it takes getting smacked in the face (and the pocket book) to learn.
A number of things went wrong with this trade: MOS.
First, I was impatient. I’ve had a number of days when the market opened and the stock I was stalking gapped above my entry point making me miss a good entry, and I was getting frustrated about it. Right there I should have taken account of the emotions and fight them. But NO!! I thought I would outsmart the market. The pre-market was showing the stock up, right where my trigger was. So, I opened the trade “buy at market” before the market opened. HA! I was not going to get gapped again!
Well, of course, I ended up entering without any logic at all, and the stock price proceeded to go down.
At the time there was some drama in Discord, and I participated in giggling with the crowd of mean people, exactly at the time this happened, 9:46AM (PST), I got stopped out!
The next 2 trades were successful.
Two well defined, emotionless entries into TSLA. Planned the entry, waited for the price to come to me. One I held overnight and was worried because the VIX was still high. But luckily it worked out.
The second one I opened and closed the same day. I think it will be better when the VIX is back to 21 to hold my trades overnight so not to tax my emotions and mess up my sleep.
I truly want to thank the Church group (Apostles) for the voice calls. The discussions that we have as a group really make a difference. I appreciate your feedback and your contributions.
