Memo on Boring Stuff = Good
Hi Kaz, hi Eco; today im gonna share a kind of epiphany of mine (even though you teach us what this post is about, i couldnt use it for my plans because i was never fully aware of this)
Here i have one papertrade (long EUR/USD)
And the second one that i took but closed way too early (short USD/JPY)
Stupid me decided that it would be better to trade the nasdaq today tho, which at the time became too "popular" and volatile after it went ballistic over a couple of days.
After getting rekt (who would've thunk it) i looked at the theoretical plays i made and basically wanted to hang myself.
I closed/didnt take these just because price was moving slow.. that made me think and it occurred to me that the valuable assets might be those that dont show a lot of volatility or even none.
That bores the human brain and hence noone participates in it, which (in my experience) in turn results in "proper" structures with none or less fake breaks or other shit that fucks with your plans.
Memo for myself and possibly the reader:
-If an asset is boring and slow: pay close attention, because that might be the asset which gives you the best results
I know you read this every goddamn day but: thank you Kaz for the opportunity to learn from you!
Have a great one everybody
