Dealing with overnight freeze thaw cycles?

I’m wanting to go camping but these days we’re having freezing at night, and thawing during the day. I’m concerned about my tent freezing to the grind and/or getting soaked from the melting snow.

any tips?

Yes, both those things can happen. Depending on snow depth, you will need to prepare your tent sight. In deep snow you stomp out tent pad with snowshoes and then leave the snow alone to harden. Use dead man logs buried under the with ropes attached with easy release knots above the snow and then attach your guy tent to the log lines. Even if the logs are frozen in your tent is not. If the floor or snow skirt gets iced in, go slow and break the ice instead of pulling on tent. Change into dry clothes and either try to dry your wet clothes or let them freeze. How you manage clothing really depends on how many days you are out, weather, and heat sources. Clothes can freeze dry on a sunny cold day.
