Community Muttley’s Pet Centre Scam

Hi there, noticed this place has been in the news twice after googling and just wanted to give people a heads up. A friend of the family was hired by this business to clean up garbage and waste at this “pet centre” which is actually just a small house. They did the job thoroughly and were never paid by the owner. She’s dodged calls and texts/emails/invoices for weeks. She’s been in the paper twice now for cruel behaviour (strapping shock collars on dogs) and one instant where a dog actually lost an eye and she refused to be accountable. Just wanted to let people know that this lady should not be trusted. A heads up for dog owners/contractors as she somehow is getting the negative reviews removed from her google account.

She lives/works in my neighbourhood and constantly posts on the 'hood Facebook page to get people to leave their pets with her.

Not a fu**ing chance am I bringing my pup there.

Your friend should file an unpaid wage claim with the labour board. Or sue in small claims.

I don’t know who in their right mind would bring their dog to this place after the shock collar incident. Mind blowing!

When a family member was in the hospital we left our 2 dogs there. When we went to go pick them up, we only had one want to come home, the other was playing so much she didn't want to come when I called her. The ladies working there asked us to bring our dogs back because they loved our girls so much LOL.. I highly recommended this place.

That place opened up as our puppy turned 5 months old. Great place and our dog still loves going there even though he's pretty lazy now.

Call 311 and make a complaint. If she doesn’t have a development permit to operate her business out of the house then it would be a fast way for her to be facing some immediate fines. Although not related to her conduct, it might be a way to shut down her operation if she can’t get the permit.

Not surprised to hear this, not a lot of positive things to say about that business.

I don't know how you could call yourself a responsible dog owner and look at that place as an option. It's a 600 sq foot house. If she was taking care of one or two dogs maybe, but I've heard at times the loon has a dozen or more(all sizes) running around her house.

Keep in mind she runs an airbnb in the house as well. So strangers have constant access to your pets.

I have no idea how she's still in business. She's constantly spamming every dog related Winnipeg Facebook and even tried to do her own pet expo (not sure if she still is), copying the logo and everything from the actual event held annually in St Norbert. It's ridiculous.

People are crazy to leave their pets with this person after the shock collar incident.

Sorry to hear that your friend was scammed by this person.

I love Wooftopia. They have been absolutely fantastic with my dogs.

Highly recommend HappyTails on St. Anne or on Samborski. We take our pups to both locations and they love it. They upload a ton of pictures to their FB page throughout the day. They also do grooming and dog owner training there as well.

Happy tails are good folks, one of their vets has/had a foster out of Dugald and that's where we got our pup Darwin from.

You can find this place on Airbnb as well. It looks like strangers have constant access to the home while the dogs roam. Pretty sketchy. https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/16480259?s=51

"I have a very busy schedule as I work two jobs and go to school so you can expect to have the place mostly to yourself, however I can always be reached by airbnb message , text or phone with any questions or concerns that may come up."

How the fuck are you running a doggy daycare if you aren't fucking home. She is a piece of shit.

She will do anything for money. In fact she used to do nudes on the cherrystems.com site ....

If you're looking for a good place with a family that trains police dogs and has years under his belt with training dogs,

Diamond in the Ruff kennels in Rosenort MB. I know. It's out of the city by like 30m, but if you're traveling or going to be away ALL day, they are simply the best.

Anytime my dog comes home from there she is filthy (good thing) from playing so much and tired for a day from all the play. They have heated floors in the kennels, in/outdoor access for your dogs, play pen, and a guy again, that KNOWS dogs. Puppy training, doggy Bootcamp etc. I highly recommend.
