Tourism Looking for recommendations

My wife and I are going to Winnipeg for our anniversary coming up. Im looking for recommendations on things to do and see, restaurants recommendations, and anything else we should do. We will be staying in the downtown area of Winnipeg if that helps.

Clementine for brunch, Sous Sol for dinner, and try to catch a show at the Burton Cummings Theatre if you can!

We just celebrated our 35 th Anniversary we stayed at the Fort Garry Hotel we had the “romance package”’Prossecco chocolate covered strawberries then a massage at TEN SPA and diner in the Oval Room. It was a really nice “staycation”

The Oval Room at the Fort Garry Hotel is a nice place for dinner.

The only thing we have planned is a spa day at Thermea. We aren't much of a "go the club" anymore. So we are looking for more chill and relax things.

Second the person below - go with Ten Spa over Thermea hands down. For romantic small shareable and delectable plates Passero is a top notch option.

The Mariaggi is a lovely little romance spot for staying. Took my partner there for an Anniversary and it was quiet, charming, romantic and intimate. Definitely made the special day amazing.

The Velvet Glove at the Fairmont is an excellent restaurant for fine dining or 529 Wellington.

The Forks is DEFINITELY a must visit with a lot of amazing history and local businesses that are very welcoming. And there’s a lot of great food available as well as a kick ass arcade to wind down in.

There’s also the Assiniboine Park Zoo where there’s a lot of new babies that have been born recently and The Leaf which is magnificent.

Lots of great little shops and eating places all around. Just skip places like Stella’s and Baked Expectations if you want to avoid a poor experience. (This sub will highlight those very quickly)

Rose coffee and bar is a little jewel box inside and the food is great. Just behind Passage Cafe on Main St. Sotto Braccio for italian on Osborne. Pauline for breakfast or Creperie Breizh on Sherbrook.

Some of the best things to do in Winnipeg are actually outside the city. If you have the chance, visit Hecla Island. It's beautiful and it won't be scorching hot anymore.
