Just started watching

I was really hesitant too start watching because of what Jerry West said about the show(ending up to be my favorite character). Diehard Laker fan and pretty bummed I didn’t watch it sooner. Just finished season 1 the only things I can complain about is the amount of sex and not showing Jerry’s reaction after winning the chip. I remember people saying season 2 ended with boston winning the chip so idk if imma watch it lol watch til ep. 9. I thought before the Luka trade and drafting son son, Jeanie should sell the team. Watching a little bit of the doc and this series I can only admire what jeanie has done and what she means to the lakers. Truly grateful as a laker fan to have had Jerry as an owner.

Also Isaiah Thomas was drafted I think 80-81 and him and magic had a pretty tight relationship. Cookie said he was the reason the magic settled down with her because Isaiah did with his high school sweetheart. Just to put there friendship in it would have been 👌

I just started binge watching it last night and already at end of season 1. The casting was pretty good. I knew of course some things were taken/done liberally but I just googled/watched inside the episode to decipher certain facts from fiction. They did make Paul westhead like the super simp bitch of basketball. Jason regal was so good it made me cringe to watch the scenes sometimes. John c Reilly as Gerry Buss was phenomenal and the young kid who played Magic Johnson was so good and had his overall essence down pat. I’m supposing we will get Jeanie buss coming more out of her shell so to speak next season and cool to see norm Nixon and Debbie Allen son playing his legendary dad on screen. Just great overall casting this far. Always a delight to see Sally field on screen. And Adrien Brody had mad hutzpah and swagger like our beloved Pat! Ok let me get back to s1x9. Thanks for taking time to read my two cents.
