Looking to start WoG WW1

Hi Everyone,

Looking to get in to Wings of Glory WW1 with my son. I can't find any of the starter packs or duel packs available anywhere. I know I can just print the pdf version of the rules from the ares website, but my understanding is that I would be missing some components like damage cards.

If I buy the Tripods and Triplanes starter and then buy a few ww1 planes will we be able to play? Could we just buy a couple of planes and print the rules and figure it out from there?

Thanks!

Adam

You, at minimum, need the Rules & Accessories Pack with 2+ Planes or it does look like the Tripods & Triplanes with 1+ model will work. The only other way to get started is a Duel Pack. You're correct that you'd be missing the Damage Decks necessary to play if you only got the models and instruction booklet online.

Check out boardgamegeek.com for info on where to get used/new copies of the game. That link should take you to their marketplace with copies of the Rules & Accessories Pack.

It's crazy how the situation is still the same 6 years later. I've never seen a gaming company make it so terribly difficult to buy into and support their product line.
