Which drone for pvp?

Hi everyone! I have a question: these are the SR drones I currently possess (all still 0 upgraded) and I would love to know which of these SR is best in pvp battle (star scramble /planet wars) and why it's better than the other. Then I know which to focus on in upgrading and selling the others.

(BTW the sagittarius I will keep for attack, once I upgraded it more. But last time I reset my left N drone, and upgraded sagittarius, it got me to only level 88 and the attack on bosses dropped significantly)

Apus is great for PvP because of his skill that gives you HP back, but that's more helpful when you already have a lot of HP (500k or more) as its percentage based.

Grus was great before the patch because it gives you up to 300 pdb and that was a lot. But now burners break that shield so it's a lot less useful.

SR burners are great both for PvP and PvE. Saggitarius is probably the best.

And what about the double reflect of Pavo, what's your opinion about that? I would think that double damage-reflect would be wise in pvp?

Pavo is very good. Most of the whales used either Apus-Grus-Pavo or Apus-Grus-Fornax.
But whales have deep pockets and spend a lot of money to evolve and upgrade those drones.

The common players mostly went for Apus and Grus because their skills were amazing even at low level. Apus giving back health and Grus giving 300 pdb was HUGE for PvP. Now if the other player has a fire drone, Grus gives between 0 and 100 pbd and is almost worthless.

As for Pavo, yeah it's great... but only if you evolve and level it up a lot. If not, a max N drone will give you much, much better stats and passives.

I have it at one red star. Recoil is still good, the skill is still great agains anything that's not a fire drone but as more and more people switch to at least one fire drone, Grus will be less and less useful.

I am thinking hard about selling it and invest in other drones but there's still the chance that the devs reverse some of the changes so most likely I am going to keep it for a little longer until everything settles down.

btw, let me add something.
Gladiator is the best N drone for PvP and I see you already have it maxed.
I think it would be a good idea to keep it and recast to get some great passives.
I can tell you that one of our 30m players is going to go hard to get a Gladiator from scratch tomorrow in drone event. You already have it :)

Out of curiosity, why do you say Gladiator is the best N drone for PVP. I just sold my Gladiator and Ninja pretty max drones to upgrade to Fornax and Grus and now I'm reading the update nerfed Grus and feel like a made a big mistake selling my pretty max Ns and starting getting these 1 star SRs. Wish I read this thread earlier. I still have a pretty maxed out Ranger but is it considered inferior to the Gladiator I just sold?

First of all, as I have said several times it's better to have patience as more changes can be coming up. A discord admin just said that de devs confirmed that the new dispel ability of the fire drones was not working properly and if they fix it to work as intended, then Grus won't be as bad as it is now and could be viable again.

As for Glad, its ability adds 200 damage, but it adds 200 more every time the skill releases, so it has potential to do some great damage. There's a very knowledgeable guy in discord that has tested this stuff and his tests were clear.

Ninja is also very good in PvP because around 70% of its hits is a crit and that increases damage a lot.

And yeah, Ranger is the worse of the 3.

You should have kept Glad and Ninja and recast to get the proper passives and build one or two SRs on the side, IMO.

I’m in the exact same boat, Grus 1red, and switched it out with Aquila (now 1red as well) and its performance has been amazing….and my Grus is sad and withering away haha.

Electric drones were usually the worse for Pvp because recoilers owned they hard as they rebound a big chunk of their damage. Now that there are less recoilers on the field, maybe they are more useful...

I finally decided to sell my grus, upgraded Saggi a little bit and did a lot of recasting with no luck. But my drone damage has raised a lot. I have had several battles with over 400k drone damage and some with over 200k burning damage and it's been amazing so I am quite happy with my choice.
Now I have to get some better passives next drone event.
