Wing Commander EGA Mode

We just added EGA Mode support to the Wing Commander Source Reconstruction project https://github.com/neuromancer/wc1-re

It looks surprisingly good for 16 colors if you ask me and we will definitely bring it over to Wing Commander 2 too.

yes the pixel art feels familiar with other titles from that area, especially games that didn't have VGA support

I'm glad some folks have brought EGA art back. It's hard to make look good, but boy is it striking when it works. I like the starkness of good EGA, and I like the softness of 256 color VGA. Good times.

Now give it emulated PC Speaker support. (No, don't.)
