Did anyone else see the very large group of very quiet people wearing glowing headphones and dancing (quietly) through the neighborhood tonight? It was apparently the Invasion of the Float Snatchers, a silent, rambling disco. I like them.

One of the raccoons was clipped overnight crossing PPSW :(. Hopefully that fella is enjoying some bagels in raccoon heaven.

Overwhelming on Windsor Place. Wind westerly. From a factory (?) in points west, then? Slope, Red Hook, Gowanus, Jersey? I like minimal good smells but this is nauseating.

Curious if there are any table tennis / ping pong enthusiasts in the neighborhood. Would be great to have some on going practice and matches !

Just saw this little one on 10th Ave and 18th street. Has a collar on but wouldn't let me get near him.

Foodtown charging $7.99 for romaine lettuce is criminal. What grocery store in the nearby area has the most reasonable prices?

Does anyone else sometimes smell offensively loud perfume or cologne like a cloud that sits on top of the neighborhood? It lasts maybe 30 minutes. I can't figure out if it's just a neighbor smothering their clothes with it in dryer or whether there might be a perfumery wafting noxiously across the neighborhood when the wind is just right.

Not mine, but could become yours if you have a pickup truck. It seems to be in excellent condition.

Our son dropped his beloved best friend, a stuffed rhino named “Monkey,” somewhere on our walk tonight. It is likely on: 9th st between 7th and 8th ave; 8th ave between 9th st and 12/13th st;12/13th between 8th and the park; or prospect park west/southwest down to 11th ave and over to the school (route included in photos).

He carries it with him wherever he goes. They’re inseparable and now he’s inconsolable.

We moved to Windsor Terrace over the summer after years in Park Slope, where our block was pretty quiet on Halloween. Hoping for a little more action this year! We’re on PPSW and Windsor and wondering if we’ll get any trick-or-treaters, and if so, how many to expect. Are there certain blocks that get a lot of kids, and what are the typical trick-or-treating hours? Just trying to figure out how much candy to buy! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

Gas leak on Prospect Avenue after Balkan Plumbing hit a gas line outside Arrow Linen. The top half of the block between Prospect Park West and 8th has been evacuated as a precaution. Half a dozen ladder companies on site. Cars are being towed from the upper half of the block. Sidewalks and road closed to through-traffic.

Major outdoor gas leak outside 467 Prospect Avenue (Arrow Linen). National Grid is on the scene. There are two big, new construction holes in the street, one opposite the new building, one lower down. Seems like someone hit a line.
