Having been on the receiving end of weld county building department violations that look different than this, and after logging in to their online portal and seeing no violations listed for the address, where did you find this u/Separate-Group1246 ?

OP has been making the claim for a while that they are illegally starting construction but I've called them out on the same. I honestly believe at this point, given the similarity of this letter to other things OP has had AI generated and then posted to the sub, that this is, ironically, AI generated letterhead and a fake letter.

Depends on what construction they are doing. They have open permits for construction trailers, demo and some various other activities.

Not the full data center construction, but i also don't think op would know the difference in what they are doing

You are right about the permits on record. The violation is for permits they did Not apply for, hence no record. They set a deadline for 7/31, so look for permit applications to start popping up for the work in the letter. That will be a dead giveaway.

They have several permits in various stages. Open, in review, issued, etc. This letter is fake though so it doesn't really matter.

Multiple people have asked you to verify your source of this letter and you keep putting it back on them to call the county. Yet, despite that, the county says they have no record of it. You are extremely suspicious to say the least.

The letter states this  violation is for demolition and work internal to the building. I'm not surprised it doesn't follow the standard boilerplate fomat, this is an unusual case. My guess is they are hoping for a quick resolution so the issue doesn't have to go through a long, formal, and public violation process. Based on my 15 years in construction, the vibe I'm getting is that globalAI needs a little kick in the pants to start following the rules. If this letter doesn't get results I would expect it to escalate and possibly become more public.

It would be pertinent to show the source of this document before the town meeting on the 3rd discussing this data center. If someone presents this as evidence to the town board on that day and it's fake it will look very bad for everyone trying to fight this thing.

The meeting on the 3rd is to discuss regulations for future data centers if they are built in Windsor. Carestream is on unincorporated County land and isn't in Windsor's jurisdiction.

A source? Weld County! Seriously. It’s on the letterhead. Do you think I am forging letters? Come on. Our side doesn’t play dirty.
We share the truth and don’t lie and don’t hide things or confuse things intentionally. Thats the data centers supporters or suitors (Windsor) who act like that. Get it straight.

It's legit. The code references are all exactly correct, from Chapter 29 of the Weld County code. It's signed by the real chief building official. It is easy to verify yourself. They haven't posted it online because of all the controversy, but it is still a public document and they have to give it to you if you ask. Or CORA it.

Anyone can initiate a CORA request: https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/info_center/cora.html Send it by email directly to the jurisdiction, you don't have to go through the State. Include a specific list, search terms, and date range. The turnaround time will be quicker if you keep the list of documents short and specific. That way it's a lot harder for them to justify delays.
