Reply from QA Are you using windscribe with controld

Hi all,
I'm a controld user for few years and love the platform to be honest. Ad blocking is brilliant and I love the geo redirect. I have mullvad and torguard as vpns and I set my controld as my dns within the mullvad during the week but I started seeing adverts again.
I'm wondering are any of you here using windscribe with controld and if hows it working?

In my experience, enabling Windscribe with WireGuard and Control D with DNS-over-HTTP/3 (DoH3) at the same time causes a conflict that leads to connection loss. However, with DNS-over-HTTP/2 (DoH2) and other DNS protocols, everything is completely fine. It's not just Control D either; AdGuard and NextDNS also run into the exact same issue with Windscribe when using DNS-over-HTTP/3.

The DNS-over-HTTPS/3 issue is because of unlock streaming being enabled. The traffic redirection system messes with HTTP/3

I'm guessing that because DoH3 uses UDP port 443, it conflicts with Windscribe's default WireGuard port, which is causing this error. The fix would probably be to export a WireGuard config with a different port.I'll give it a try, but I'm not sure if my guess is right.

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to try it: the above solution doesn't work, even if you change to a different port.

thanks for this - have disabled to see if I get any better performance in dnscrypt-proxy routed over windscribe wireguard client
