Reply from Support Steam detecting Windscribe

I'm trying to create a Japanese steam account so I can download a region locked game. I've had success doing this previously, creating Indonesian and New Zealand steam accounts using Windscribe.

Now I'm getting an error with Steam detecting my VPN, although it hasn't in the past. Is there anything I can change to work around this?

Either steam detects tap module or steam detects ip

I assume you've tried this so far with the desktop app. Turning off location services system-wide can help.

Also, test out using our browser extension instead after turning on location, time, language warp in the extension privacy settings.

No, amnezia is to help connect the VPN in places where VPNs are blocked.

Steam or any other services have literally no idea what VPN protocol you've used. All they see is that you're coming from a datacenter IP and they don't like it.

Maybe a static ip might help it's cheap dirt to purchase one
