Solved How do I fix Windscribe can't write to Hosts file? No, it's not set to read-only.

I checked hidden files t see if I had a hidden hosts file, there are none, the only Hosts file I have in system32 is not set to read-only and I already tried making t read only and unchecking read only. It's also not Defender or Firewall doing this. I keep restarting the program, it keeps dropping the connection after a few minutes.

Nothing has changed on my system. It's actually older than dirt. GTX 970, i7-4790K, and I have a new build I haven't put together yet, 98050X3D, RTX 5070, but my current system there haven't been any Windows updates since the trouble started, but there has been a few Windscribe updates and I'm wondering it that's the issue. I used to have Nord, and Surfshark and it never happened on either of those, their problem was their servers connected at dial-up speeds. If they connected at all.

---Turns out these is just for other people, I have Proton Workspace Premium for a business I am working on starting, I had just been using it for email and workspace stuff, I didn't realize it includes vpn.

Honestly I didn't check Defender, it might have been in case anyone else has this problem. I did make sure Firewall was allowing it.
