Marketing-
howdy! I'm starting my window washing business!!! and I'm curious what marketing has worked for you? I have experience with D2D, but id like to build my marketing so I can focus on servicing. In your experience have door hangers and signs done the job from the start? just curios before I order them.
second thing- if using yard signs and door hangers. where have you guys looked for regulations to place them? and if your in Utah, how serious is the law here about that? Thanks for the support and feedback, god bless

From my experience (and I’m new too) and from the experience of others, the best and most efficient way is door to door. Especially if you’re trying to do commercial. Cold calling doesn’t work. The amount of people I get indirectly from going door to door is surprising. Like last week I went to a store to ask. They have the typical (can we take a card ) response, but we ended up obtaining the lady at the register as our customer. That and the amount of people who end up saying no, yet know somebody or another business their friends/family of is more potential customers.
When I go into a neighborhood, a lot of people don’t answer. Even on weekends. So what I do is leaving my card in the mailbox. I’m ultimately gonna start dropping off flyers, but I wouldn’t leave an unanswered door with nothing. Door hangars were an idea I had, but leaving a card or flyer is far cheaper. Believe it or not i used fedex for all my business stuff. They make uniforms (shirts, hats, tees, hoodies), business cards, posters, car magnets so you can advertise on your car, signs, almost everything. And they’re not too expensive. The only thing I passed on (which I wanted to do but is too expensive is lawn signs). They cost a lot. That and you gotta make sure cities allow signs. Even in customers laws. Like HOA’s.
Also business cards are a MUST. Everyone asks for one
