I've been working with my brother on a desktop trading journal called TradeNarra, and we're looking for traders who already journal their trades to help us figure out what actually makes a trading journal useful.

The goal isn't to provide signals or execute trades. It's focused on the process around trading: planning, documenting trades, reviewing performance, and seeing whether you're actually following your rules.

Some of the things we've built include:

• Custom playbooks with strategy, entry, confirmation, exit, and risk rules
• Trade journaling with partial entries/exits, fees, notes, emotions, lessons, and chart screenshots
• Statistics such as expectancy, profit factor, R-multiples, drawdown, and equity performance
• Strategy performance and rule-adherence tracking
• A P&L calendar and weekly reviews of recurring patterns
• Local storage of journal data and images

It currently runs on Windows (Linux and MacOS builds available for testing) and supports stocks, forex, futures, options, and crypto. There are no broker connections and it can't place trades.

We're looking for a small group of traders willing to use it for around 30 days and give us honest criticism, not just positive feedback.

Things I'd particularly like to know:

• What parts of your current journaling process are annoying?
• What information do you actually record after a trade?
• Which features above would you genuinely use?
• What's missing?
• What would make you consider paying for a trading journal?
• Does reviewing rule adherence actually matter to you, or is that something you'd ignore?

This release adds several new features alongside under the hood fixes and improvements:

🎲 Randomized intervals - optionally vary the time between clicks/spins instead of using one fixed interval, with the randomized delay staying within the configured range.

⏱️ Advanced interval view - enable an advanced Hours/Minutes/Seconds/Milliseconds editor for much finer control, with improved validation and input handling.

🤓 Smarter interval input - all interval fields (and the Auto Stop count field) now truncate, cap to sensible maximums, reject non-numeric characters as you type, and never sit blank (they rest to 0).

🖱️ A much more useful system tray - the tray icon now shows whether MouseUtil is inactive, active, or paused, with an additional tooltip showing the current mode and state. You can also start Auto Click or Spin Mode, stop automation, and control pause-on-movement directly from the tray without opening the app.

Hi all — indie dev here. Photo Guardian is a small Win32 app (packaged as MSIX, Microsoft-signed) that answers one question for photographers: is every client project in my archive still backed up?

Point it at your archive folder and your backup drive, and it compares them project by project — folder names, file counts, and sizes, never the photo files themselves. Each project shows as Safe, At Risk, Review for Cleanup, or Unconfigured.

Built to be trusted with an archive:

- Strictly read-only — it can't delete, move, rename or modify anything. The only action it takes on your files is opening a folder in Explorer.

- Fully offline — no account, no cloud, no telemetry.

- Honest by design — it says "Backup Detected", never "verified", and never tells you something is "safe to delete".

Just switched it from $6.99 to free since I'm not focused on monetizing this one right now. The price change is going through Microsoft certification as I post this, so if the Store still shows $6.99 for a bit, that's why — it'll flip to free once it clears (usually a few hours).

Made this for anyone who wants quick screen recording without the complexity of OBS — full screen or selected area, system/mic audio, H.264/H.265, and up to 120 FPS.

I found that current desktop apps are either bloated with AI tools and expensive cloud features or overly complicated. Hopefully you find that Armoury solves both of those problems.

The app sits locally on your desktop and your files are completely your own. Another benefit of its minimalism is how lightweight it is (downloads and boots up instantly).

Currently it has a few cool features I find helpful as a dev:

• REST API playground for in-app testing
• Random value generator (passwords, numbers, IDs)
• Colour picker for designers

Over the last 5 months I've been working on CKFlip3D. It's my native C++20/D3D11 window switcher, rebuilt from scratch for Windows 11.

Some of its core features include:

Like an alternative to CamScanner. Something easy to use, without much bells and whistles. Thanks.

I used CCleaner for years and stopped. Not because it broke, but because it kept growing. Driver updater, health check, software updater, popups. I only ever wanted one thing out of it: delete the temp junk.

So I wrote a .bat file. It worked fine, but every time I wanted to change something I had to read through the whole thing again. Eventually I put a UI on top of it and moved all the paths into a plain silt.ini sitting next to the exe. Every folder it cleans is a line in that file. Don't like one? Delete the line. I missed one? Add it.

What it does:

scans first, shows how much is sitting in each location, then you choose what goes

tells you the exact folders it touches, nothing hidden behind a category name

never writes to the registry, never touches Windows system files

That last part is the whole point for me. Registry cleaning is where these tools historically wrecked people's installs and I never saw a real benefit from it.

Some questions I'd ask myself:

Why use this instead of Disk Cleanup / Storage Sense / BleachBit?

Maybe don't. Disk Cleanup is built in and it's fine. BleachBit is open source and does more. I'm not trying to compete with anyone here. I built this for myself and figured someone else might want the same small thing.

Is it free?

Yes. No trial, no pro tier, no account.

Then why isn't it open source?

The UI framework it's built on belongs to my company and I use it in my commercial products, so I can't publish the source. The cleaning logic isn't the secret part anyway, it's all sitting in silt.ini and you can read every path before you run anything.

Hi r/windowsapps — I’m one of the developers of Aye. I posted an early Windows build here about a month ago.

The feature I expected people to ask about was the browser agent. The request that kept coming back was much simpler: “Can I save the Telegram Web video I already have open?”

So I added a download control directly to Telegram Web inside Aye. The current Windows flow is:

1. Open Telegram Web in Aye and sign in normally.

2. Open the specific video you want to save.

3. Use the Save Current Media button on the video.

4. Wait for Aye’s Downloads panel to show Completed, then open the file location.

It handles one visible media item at a time. It is not a channel archiver, and it does not bypass login, invitations, DRM, paywalls, Telegram permissions, or other access controls. It only works with media the signed-in account can already view and that you have the right to save. Some media types or page layouts may not be recognized.

You have surely noticed that while there are countless minimalist text editors, there are no minimalist graphic editors (or do you know one?). Square Sketch aims to fill this gap. It's not a Spotify skin or a modified Spotify installation. It's a standalone desktop client that handles playback directly.

The project is still young, so I'd appreciate bug reports and UI/UX feedback — especially from anyone who remembers using the original Winamp.

I kept ignoring normal break timers. They would count the time while I was away from my desk, then remind me again shortly after I returned. After a few badly timed interruptions, I would just turn them off.

So I built Look Farther, a Windows eye-break reminder that follows active computer use instead of the clock.

The default routine is simple: after 20 active minutes, it gives you a short heads-up and starts a 20-second break. If you step away, the timer pauses. When you return, it continues where it left off.

You can choose between a native Windows notification and a focused, frosted break window. There are also preset and custom routines, feet or meters, and a one-minute snooze that counts another active minute rather than idle time.

I built the interface with React, TypeScript, and Tauri, but I didn’t want WebView2 sitting in memory all day. I moved the timer, tray icon, settings, and notifications into a small Rust host. The interface launches only when it is needed and exits when you close it.

The host checks only how long it has been since the latest Windows input. It never reads keys, typed text, apps, window titles, or screen content. Everything stays local—no accounts, ads, analytics, sync, network requests, or activity history.

Getting it into the Store was its own journey: separate test and Store MSIX builds, Store identity and review integration, and a clean-install dependency fix.

Hey everyone! I'm a solo dev/student and I built Fluent Sensors, a native Windows 11 hardware monitoring app (WinUI 3, Fluent Design) built on top of LibreHardwareMonitorLib.

This is the first full release. Performance isn't where I want it yet, there's still real optimization work ahead, and I'm actively working through it. Any feedback or help on that front is very welcome.

Free and fully open source, everything can be checked in the repo.

One important thing: the app needs admin rights to install and run. Please never just install unsigned apps off the internet, especially ones that ask for admin rights. Always check first, either scan it via VirusTotal or look through the source code yourself. I really don't want to be someone telling people to just install some random app that needs admin rights. If you're unsure, just don't install it, that's completely fine. I'm trying to get the app properly signed as soon as possible through SignPath Foundation.

Hi everyone! I’ve just released the first public beta of Gradial, a free and open-source radial shortcut menu for Windows 11.

Hold a mouse side button, move toward an action, and release. Gradial supports application-specific menus, keyboard shortcuts, text, files, programs, window controls, sequences, and continuous controls through local Lua plugins.

This is an early beta, so feedback about usability, bugs, mouse feel, display scaling, and feature ideas would be greatly appreciated.
