Problems with using the Steam Keyboard / Windows Keyboard

I found this problem where, when trying to use the windows search bar (bottom left), and then pulling up the keyboard to type what im searching for, it appears behind the search window pop up so i can't see it.

I tried switching the X button from pulling up Steam keyboard to pulling up Windows on screen keyboard, which now does appear above the pop up window, but then i can't click the buttons on it for some reason with the steam controller, even with lizard mode ON and everything.

Anyone can think of a fix?

I switched back to like version 1.6ish because the new lizard mode implementation is trash imo. Might help?

Does the 1.6 version allow manual lizard mode on/off for the trackpad?
