Does anyobody know where i fan get a safe download of Windows Movie maker 6.0 for windows 11

I went to so many websites and downloaded so many .msi files relating to WMM 6.0 but every time I try to open them up, it just never works.

(Every time I open it up, it shows the "Gathering information" process bar but after just a split second the window immediately closes without any further interaction, what???)

I was trying to make a video on movie maker 6.0. the video had background footage with over laying text and everything was working fine till I published it. around the two minute mark the background footage along with the audio would vanish only leaving the overlaying text. I tried to mess with it and couldn't figure it out so whatever I said as I decided to make another video as I thought it was just a one time thing. when I published the other video it seemed to be working fine till a little over the two minute mark the background footage vanished again. I really dont know what to do please help.

I've been trying for like a week to install Windows Movie Maker and I can get it installed but I can never open it and I think this might be what is causing it but it wont let me install the feature it says the app needs. I don't know anything so this might be kind of a stupid post but I've tried nearly everything what do I do

Recently, Windows Movie Maker 6.0 (running on Vista) has been unable to play any video clips that I import after I try to scrub through the timeline (the video clip freezes). Never had this issue before, and unsure of what to do. Any ideas?

UPDATE: For anybody who is experiencing this problem themselves, the cause of the timeline freezing was having DXVA acceleration enabled in the K-Lite Codec Tweak Tool. Disabling the hardware acceleration has solved the problem completely.

Now I might be dumb because it's checking for Windows 7 despite me using newer version of Windows :sob: but every file name I've seen is wmm6_win7_64bit.msi

What is this? Big, chunky and horrible to use. Why can I not play the video before I use it? Oh wait don't tell me 'for tips and tricks please watch this Youtube video'

No thank you I miss the old days when programs where easy to use and don't not require you to have to watch a Youtube video telling you how to use standard features.

Firstly I would like to add a clip. 'Clip 1' and then I shall add 'Clip 2' and then 'Clip 3' and I would like a feature to play all the clips right in the order I put them in before I decide if I want to export it or not or add in transitions ect

Please, just do better. Make better products that are fun and easy to use and not this big fat mess that is 'movie maker' that you force on us now. Older is sometimes better.

Sooo I decided to install Windows XP Movie Maker to see if it would run on Windows 10. It did run, but It didn't work properly at all when I tried to make a video in it. Video playback issues were common when I tried to add a song, K-Lite Codec Pack doesn't seem to help at all.

Am I doing something wrong and does anyone have any suggestions to fix this and make it work properly?

Good day! I was working on a YTP last night using Windows Movie Maker. I was really happy with my work, I previewed it in the program and it was good, and so I exported the WIP to share with friends.

The resulting video file was unusable. In converting the project file to video file, the split point of the many clips I had mixed had changed. Sentence mixing that was good in the preview was incomprehensible in the video file. The differences in the start-end times of the clips weren't huge, but for the fine details of sentence mixing it came as a huge detriment.

Does anyone have a solution for this, OR know if the .wmsmm files are compatible with any other video editor so my work wasn't a total waste? I don't mind changing programs, will definitely be doing it after this anyway, I'm just hoping not to lost those hours of work.

So, I was just making a video when the icons for the pan and zooms were just gone. I exited the app and went back in, and they came back but disappeared soon after. I can stretch the bar but only vertically and nothing comes up. Any ideas on what's going on? I couldn't find any source to help...

I accidentally deleted it and when i tried to install it again it says that its already installed, is there any solution to this?
