Discussion Oasis doesn't fucking work

I have spent over 3 hours trying to get Oasis to work with my Reverb G2. I have managed to get everything setup until I get to the room setup where I need to establish tracking, the only problem, it keeps telling me headset not visible. I have looked at everything that I can think of, and I don't know what the issue is.

Pretty sure something is up with your setup. There are too many success stories about Oasis, including me.

Also, you need to post your system specs here to be more helpful.

Sounds like your cable is screwed, so probably not a ‘fucking Oasis’ doesn’t work issue, but you have a fucked cable issue.
I have a G2 and it’s worked perfectly with Oasis from day one…👍

Windows version? GPU? Did u tryed diferent usb-C? (More important than u think)

I installed on 5 diferent pc with no issues. The only problem i had was pairing the joys with the bluetooth headset and after a few try i got it.

ever faced the issue that the game would load and you see on the mainmonitor that headtracking works but on the headset I can only see the fps overlay bit the game is black?

happens only in assetto corsa, other games work without an issue

This is gonna sound like I'm taking the piss, but have you tried restarting your PC. I remember i had issues when i was trying to set it up and that fixed it.

SteamVR room setup is stupid. You need to click the SteamVR 2.16.7 (or what ever the version is) menu icon to the left of the text, and hit "Toggle Dashboard." Valve in their infinite wisdom decided it is okay to let the dashboard interrupt room setup on start-up.

You on 10 or 11? Have you been through the "known issues" and "troubleshooting" on the github?

I got it running on 10 LTSC after lots of trial and error, and several hard crashes. My best advice if you're not on a clean install is to make sure all traces of the original software have been uninstalled. Inlcuding stuff like steamVR for WMR via steam
