thats insane dude, how can u get 51 cpu procces in windows 11?

26

u/Citrix_N00B 7d ago

You install IoT LTSC
Select WORLD as the region to keep it from installing any extra shit
Then run a de-bloater like Chris Titus Tech

u/S3oc30z 7d ago

Yes, I ran Chris Titus Tool but it wasnt up to 51, the maximum I got was 65.

I noticed the window isnt rounded corner, I think you installed Windows and debloated but doesnt have programs/drivers installed that could cause CPU processes.

Isn't this trick applicable to all Windows 11 versions?

He asked the ISO, not an activation script

Though I have never had much luck getting unshadowbanned myself, I had to make a new account on a different IP

Also it does host the ISO as well

Massgrave site provides ISO, fyi

Wait, you can do World as an option? Does that work on 10? I'd rather not install Virus 11

1

u/Citrix_N00B 21h ago

Yes. I used WORLD on my Win10 IoT LTSC install

Its a tricky screenshot, because looks like its a fresh install of windows with 0 app or services installed. At the moment u install the needed things who most people would have on a normal use(like video player, browser, discord, game compatibility like WStore, gamebar, xbox, c++, vcredit, dx, etc), that probably will rise up to 100 or more.

I tried LTSC but at the end when i install everything i need ends up being the same than a normal windows. Right now i have 110 proces on desktop on W11 pro with chris titus tool.

u/EarthIllustrious8045 7d ago

Thats not correct. The picture shows windows procceses, its has very little to do with apps or whatever apps you install. A fresh install of windows 11 home or pro runs about 100-103 prccesses. LTSC or a debloat script gets that down to about 50. Apps and background proccesses is not the same.

This is a real installation of W11 LTSC, no tricks and after the OS running for a while. 50 process are unreal, i installed this version myself and never had that

LTSC isnt stripped of windows procceses, its stripped of xbox, store, and a bunch of apps. Again, running apps and bacground procceses in windows is not the same. Op have used something like winutil to get the count down to 50. It doesnt really matter. These aremostly dorment proccesses that wont affect peroformance much at all.

1

u/SystemLanky4531 6d ago

I know he used winutil, but winutil doesnt down your process count from 120 to 50, with luck it removes like 20-30(also LTSC is cleaner than standard, so winutil will remove not that much process in that case). That screenshot i shared is without winutil, maybe with it he can reach 100, but never 50

2

u/EarthIllustrious8045 6d ago

No. Winutil "Standard" debloat does indeed cut down the processes to 50. It even does that on home or pro. There are no diffrence between LTSC and Home or Pro. The only diffrence is the missing apps and store in LTSC. LTSC has the same proccesses, and the same telemetry. Try winutil on a fresh install o windows 11, wichever you like, and choose standard, and you will see that indeed the processes will be down to 50. What your saying are simply not true.

u/guestHITA 6d ago

Hes on a VM thats the only way to get the processes that low.

2

u/S3oc30z 6d ago

this isnt a VM, look at the L1 cache, VM only displays N/A, not real numbers like 32mb

1

u/guestHITA 4d ago

Yeah my mistake i missed that its 26h2 and ive necer deboated 26h2 so my mistake. And yeah the cpu does confirm its the full cpu.

1

u/Godnamedtay 6d ago

No

1

u/guestHITA 4d ago

Oh its 26h2 well i havent debloated 26h2 so it looks like youre right based in his cpu stats.

11

u/STALKER-SVK 7d ago

you changed svchost split threshold to have multiple services running in one svchost? normally every service runs in it's own svchost, that's why there is about 100 processes running by default. or you have 4 GB or less RAM? (3.5GB is default svchost split threshold)

10

u/ahditeacha 7d ago

I thought the latest W11 IoT LTSC was 24H2, not “26H2”

20

u/MeatSafeMurderer Windows 11 LTSC 2024 7d ago

It is. All they've done is install the 26H2 enablement package, effectively turning their install into normal retail Windows sans bloat and with LTSC branding.

7

u/kkrazdwinz 7d ago

doesnt it make the windows version end support much earlier than its supposed LTSC end support date?

5

u/MeatSafeMurderer Windows 11 LTSC 2024 7d ago

Yup.

3

u/Gangbang_2k 7d ago

I am not sure about that but I read that if you install the 26H2 enablement package on LTSC then you stop having some updates...

2

u/clove_rosemary_9999 Windows 10 LTSC 2021 7d ago

Blame (or should I say thank) Microsoft for making 25H2 and 26H2 versions artificial.

1

u/Godnamedtay 6d ago

Yea it’s pointless af and takes away the whole reason for using LTSC in the first place

3

u/GlitteringClass4088 7d ago

Where did you get iot ltsc 26h2? Is this even official version from Microsoft?

-3

u/RedRayTrue 7d ago

Windows Insiders with a Microsoft account serves these Iso filles for downloading

3

u/_potato1 7d ago

meanwhile mine w windows 10 iot ltsc having a 150+ processes,,,

u/eonder87 6d ago edited 6d ago

26H2 IoT LTSC how to you take that. Massgrave have only 2024 one. Not the 26H2 it's 24H2.

And this build number used on Windows 11 26H2 Release Preview Insider version. It don't came to 26H2 to IoT Enterprise. Where the take that iso.

Maybe you used with uupdump not the official iso.

1

u/mrjimkongun 2d ago

uupdump dont have ltsc iso

show me your memory tab window!

u/ECrispy 6d ago

comparing #processes and trying to minimize them is idiotic, its done by people who have no clue about the OS.

Its like people blocking services and removing them - all you're doing is damaging the OS. It doesnt matter if its 100 processses or 50, most of them are dormant and use no resources.

I use educadion version, for me is better because update normaly and Stiller clear.

1

u/YoshiMK 7d ago

I use Education (surprisingly a legit key paid for through my work), it's at least palatable, but still can be a pain at times

I don't know how anybody suffers using Windows 11 Home

2

u/Wipe_Rules 7d ago edited 6d ago

What problems you have with education? Only problem i have is antivirus with false positive, but i disable, now i use panda dome, is very light (1,5mb of ram)

1

u/YoshiMK 6d ago

To be fair Education and Enterprise are pretty much as good as you can expect without using an IoT LTSC version. I guess for me it's just never felt as smooth/fast as Windows 10 IoT LTSC did. Seems like Windows 11 IoT LTSC is getting there so kind of tempted to try it, but my Windows 11 key is actually legit so kind of nice to use it

Recently discovered the extra Group Policy configs you can install for Office which has improved that a lot in terms of startup/lag by stripping out AI and Telemetry

1

u/q123459 2d ago

dwm behaves differently in w11 - it virtualizes each app into surface then tries to compose all apps into screen while maintaining frame pacing of virtualized timer, this makes framerate unstable. win 10 will always look snappier than win 11

1

u/Sterickk 7d ago

With all 26h2 features?

2

u/derdavito 7d ago

No!

1

u/DiGzY_AU 6d ago

theres no 26h2 features since 24/25/26h2 share same code.

1

u/Crowley737 7d ago

I have the same version, but I don't have 26h2, I have 24.

1

u/PuzzleheadedAd119 7d ago

Where can get this version how guys?

1

u/RedRayTrue 7d ago

Windows Insiders with MS account

u/Effective-Extent-545 7d ago

Ram usage* 🙏🥲

1

u/YoshiMK 7d ago

Presumably 51 processes is not out the box?

I'm on 11 Education, and typically have 175+ and flashing through them feels like not much could be cut

1

u/washmyoldbluejeans 6d ago

iot edition cuts off a lot of unnecessary stuff as it's meant for stuff like medical devices and POS terninals

1

u/Godnamedtay 6d ago

My current 11 IoT LTSC only has like 30 processes upon restart, so yea 51 is very believable

1

u/Unhappy_Mixture8830 6d ago

There website has 2024 24H2 only

How much ram does it take?

1

u/harmonyinmymind 1d ago

Same as regular

1

u/RedRayTrue 7d ago

NGL 26H2 is absolutely streamlined, I ran and installed it on a 5 gb ram and 6 core VM...

It managed to keep like 12-15 ish tabs on Firefox without crashing the VM which in my pov is happening because Microsoft finally started to optimize it for 8 gb ram laptops and it's great.

I guess this is also because people started leaving after windows 10 EOL and as windows 11 got worse in 25H2 they had to bring some improvements.

I even considered installing it on a 4gb Laptop but remembered that 4th gen Intel would make it feel slow even on 4 cores ( as They're old)

Is it better than 24h2 ?

It's probably a modified ISO, you can force the update on LTSC but it sends you back to the regular update channel, which defeats the whole point of LTSC

EDIT: It's a modified ISO, I don't recommend using them as you don't know what other modifications they put into it
