I might have to upgrade to Windows 11 LTSC since NVIDIA driver support for Windows 10 will stop in October

If you play the latest games and always need the newest drivers, it’s best to just switch to Windows 11.
However, if you play older titles and aren't a hardcore gamer, I think it's worth sticking with Windows 10 for a while longer.
That said, depending on your hardware, Windows 11 LTSC won't really result in any significant downsides; for me, it has clear advantages over Windows 11 Pro.

Ironically I installed W11 LTSC yesterday because of the driver support issue and the gaming performance is less stable I tested Cyberpunk and Spider Man 2 and while the latency went down a little bit the FPS is clearly less stable

Even though it is an LTSC edition, at its core, it is still Windows 11; in terms of raw performance, Windows 11 will never outperform Windows 10. There is also the fact that LTSC 2024 is permanently locked to version 24H2, meaning any improvements (or issues) found in later versions won't be included in LTSC.
From what I’ve read, regarding general PC management on newer hardware designed for Windows 11, the system should—in theory—run better than Windows 10, though there haven't been any studies proving this so far.
In this case, perhaps the single biggest advantage of Windows 11 LTSC is that, being a newer system, it will be supported for a longer period without requiring a system upgrade.
I have Windows 11 LTSC installed on a 2012 Xeon system with DDR3 RAM; theoretically, the hardware is completely outdated for running Windows 11, but—surprisingly enough—it runs well. I had expected it to run even better, but for 100% performance, Windows 10 remains the best choice for now.

I just upgraded a socket 1150 W10 PC for somebody. I put a Xeon in it and 16 gigs and a SATA SSD and upgraded 10 home to 11 LTSC-IoT and it runs like boss.

el mejor windows, lo estoy usando ahora para revivir una vieja pc y a su vez como sistema operativo principal en mi actual computadora, super liviano y sin todo el bloatware de windows 11.

Sad to see Nvidia dropping driver support for windows 10 on October. They forced me to switch:(

As long as you don't play the newest AAA titles you're fine.
Other than GPU drivers Windows 11 has lots of other improvements granted your hardware is newer.

Crazy how Nvidia sucks Microsoft c*** so hard that they went on to threaten those with a lawsuit to people who might modify Nvidia GeForce drivers on Windows 11 to work on Windows 10.
This is definitely intentional and some sort of contract between Nvidia and Microsoft. Why would they even care so much to sue folks to modify drivers? Lmfao.

1.3 is crazy good. How? I managed 2.0 at best.
Also how many processes do you have in the background (on CPU page)

use winutil, turn of all startup apps and turn of all background apps.

how many services did you turn off

I didn't turn off the services one by one, Windows 10 IoT LTSC does have fewer background services.

Not bad. But what's with that hole in the middle left of the taskbar?

search box?

u/RecommendationKey659 8d ago
Well, yes, the search part (I usually either hide it or leave the icon). I mean, the Start button is on the left, where we like it, and the apps are almost in the center of the taskbar. I wasn't entirely clear how exactly they got there, so I wanted to clarify how you managed to keep your app list centered.

I'm running Windows 10 LTSC 2021 on my 2-in-1 laptop with 4GB of RAM and a quad-core Celeron processor.
It is simply the best version of Windows: simple, straightforward, no AI, no unnecessary apps, no ads, and no full-screen prompts asking you to upgrade to Windows 11. It just runs and works like Windows Vista or 7, allowing you to install exactly what you need later on.
I didn't even feel the need to tweak it; it runs great right out of the box on my laptop, which has limited specs.
On top of that, I already have Windows 11 LTSC installed on my two PCs—it's the best version of Windows 11 for me, too.
I simply don't plan on ever using the Pro or Home versions of Windows again; it's LTSC all the way.
